Most my work expereince
My work is focus on construction management and project management. Ensure safety and health , quality and managing interfaces. I attend to Human resources issue of people under my section. Team meetings and site inspection. I enjoy planning of activities and tracking the progress. Report writing is also my responsibility and report to senior management on progress and milestone achieved or some challenges which need their intervention.

Work safe use task manual
We do substation refurbishment, line construction and maintenance, fixings defects and breakdown. The voltage that i work with from low voltage (Less than 1000v) high voltage 11kv to 132kv.

Working at Duvha Power Power Station
Most of the days are filled with urgent feedback decisions making as the station is too old as it requires constant maintenance. I work well within mu subordinates as they respect me and we get along well together.There is a lot of decisions that has to be made daily to make sure the units are running and the country an get electricity.
Pros: Great opportunity for growth

Positive self talk always provide a healthy decision making
my everyday job is to make sure that all our customers are happy meaning there is no shortage of electricity or power supply that is my everyday mandate, and to achieve that i always make sure that i maintain a healthy relationship with my fellow co workers and what i have learn t the most is that we are from different home back round at work and the only thing that makes us to win as as team is to apply a system thinking and respecting each others opinions, the most challenging part is that we spend most of our time meeting different people and their way of conduct it varies almost everyday some they are nice to you but some they give opposite attitude, so yes that one of those fundamental things that is challenging in our work but we always use emotional intelligence to win in every situation

Exiting career opportunities to date
Like to contribute to positive improvement opportunities in the business. Been exposed to electrical engineering environment as well as various business processes and IT solutions sometime make it easier to contextualize business users requirements for existing system changes and or new solution requirements. On a daily basis plan, schedule and facilitate elicitation sessions with business stakeholders, attending system or management forums to gain insight on business IT challenges, advising on processes on how to raise new demand or changes to Group IT. Believe the most challenging part of my job is delivering solutions within the end user expectations - normally the governance in IT projects take a few years from requirements been documented until a solution is implemented and by that time end users needs evolve to something else.

Large company structure with varying projects
A typical day in the chemical centre of excellence in Eskom is filled with great colleagues and many water treatment projects, mostly on supervision of contractors or doing detail designs in house for new projects on the various power stations. I have learned alot about water purification and management. My master's degree was in nuclear engineering so seeing this side of engineering has been a new challenge.

Eskom was an good learning curve for HR and Industrial Psychology.
A typical day at the workplace is not that stressful unless the workload we have in of a sensitive time frame. We work as freelances, so that means e work remotely but we do comminate regularly with headquarters and team members to share tips, difficulties and such. What I enjoy is to overcome new challenges and to improve the overall efficiency of work ensuring that all team members are advancing themselves in their careers. The most challenging aspect of the job is if we get long files that require a lot of time to complete and even additional manpower if needed.
Pros: Great working hours and the potential to earn as much as you want to.
Cons: Frustrating long lengthened files that are a nightmare to transcribe and edit.
