Technician in training
I qualified with National Diploma in Power Engineering and Process Instrumentation and finished my in-service training at Eskom. During my well rounded training I have developed my skills in the Engineering field, learning how to use hand basic tools, analyse and troubleshoot electrical circuits, test current transformers and pole mount breakers, to name a few. On – the - job training included (but was not limited to) working with technicians in the Eskom Transformer Protection and DC departments, covering Distribution Operating, Electrical measuring instruments, Basic Electrical Theory, Installation procedure and commissioning of prepaid meters, Fault finding, operating on low voltage, Medium voltage line construction, Operating regulations for high voltage systems, First line DC maintenance and Energized LV.

Positive self talk always provide a healthy decision making
my everyday job is to make sure that all our customers are happy meaning there is no shortage of electricity or power supply that is my everyday mandate, and to achieve that i always make sure that i maintain a healthy relationship with my fellow co workers and what i have learn t the most is that we are from different home back round at work and the only thing that makes us to win as as team is to apply a system thinking and respecting each others opinions, the most challenging part is that we spend most of our time meeting different people and their way of conduct it varies almost everyday some they are nice to you but some they give opposite attitude, so yes that one of those fundamental things that is challenging in our work but we always use emotional intelligence to win in every situation

Excellent work
Research and benchmark current customer services operations in search for new and better ways of customer services doing their current operation. Manage Strategic and Improvement projects for the benefit of Customer Services department.
Pros: Always doing something new and job keeps you on your toes.
Cons: Relying on people you have no control over for information, which often delays progress.

Excellent
Great working environment. All employees are super cool and work hand in hand with each other. I have learnt to be discipline and loving my job. I enjoy seeing the great things that Engineers makes in their do to save the country and its people. Making sure everyone has power at all the time. kdksks

Informative and a learning environment
We work with customers who log their electricity faults, do move in and out, Advise customers and refer them to relevant departments. I have learned working as a team can help achieve better results. Taking accountability for own mistakes makes a room for improvement. Communication is a key. I have learned to respect other people. Moreover I have learned to make decisions for my department. We work with elders who do not understand how electricity works and disadvantages, we teach them and the community. Do public forum and school visit of dangers to electricity. Difficult customers, who tempers with electricity and do not want to be fined. Challeging customers who wants less bill yet consume high units of electricity. Customers who wants to be switched on at their own time. One need to have communication, negotiation skills and patience.
Pros: Working well with each other
Cons: Not all are at same level with education, most of the time one had to take over or do more as they are equipped and have capability of taking decisions.

Excellent learning curve
Good day I would like to apply for a warehouse packer and part time driver, I have not worked in this department before, I don't have experience, but want to learn more about this position, I can start by volunteering training without salary, I am computer literate in Word, Excel and Power Point, like working with different people, customer oriented, willing to start immediately.

Pros: I'm currently working for Eskom Hendrina Power Station which is based in Mpumalanga province as Assistant Officer Procurement. I have joined Eskom on the 16th of March 2012 and have learned a lot about the management of contracts, negotiations with suppliers, supplier database handling, and sourcing of goods services.
Cons: Work starting time which is 07h00 is not good for me because I'm staying 200 KMs away from work
