Establish system performance standards.
I started working at Koeberg Nuclear Power Station. The job was purely to give me experience as an engineer and to lay the foundation which I would one day need to become a professional engineer. The power station is a multi-disciplinary environment and my biggest advantage as a trainee was the ability to move around the different departments and learn as much as I can. Other departments which I worked with included the maintenance department and the operating department which are crucial of the smooth running of the plant. My roles in these departments have been mostly to study different plant parameters and understand how they affect the plant and also to come up with more efficient ways for plant monitoring.

Safety and results orientated
I meet new challenges daily. More focused on safety of employees and results to customers llef. As a professional technician I exercise my knowledge and experience in my section effectively. Project management is also demonstrated on most activities that I come across., thus includes situations where external departments are involved like Road Agenvies or municipalities.

Excellent learning curve
Eskom was an excellent place of work which has given me varied experiences in different jobs which I have held at the company. Always a busy day at the office or at various warehouses which I travelled to on a weekly basis. I had an excellent relationship with my co-workers as we understand each other and what was required of us to complete the job at hand efficiently and accurately. I have learnt a great deal about Supply Chain Management and found it very interesting aso I now see the bigger picture of how a raw product becomes a finished end product and how the consumer consumes it. I enjoyed the interaction with my fellow colleagues as well as the interactions I had with the Suppliers whom I had to negotiate with for delivery dates, prices as well as quantities required.

Respectful integrity team work great communication always hard worker smart thinker willing to learn
Ravihly Very respectful, excellent at communicating, hard worker,etc. On a day to day basis complete pm work orders and maintenance on the plant repairing and calibrating all electrical and mechanical l instruments assisting with admin and planning work, owing good housekeeping I loved working with my team together we completed and took our workshop to new heights we where excellent in safety and housekeeping. Most challenging aspect was eskom always had no money and spares where very difficult to buy so we had to always fix and think out of the box on repairs we went beyond and above our expectations to try to make our plants run smoothly
