My day at work
I am very versatile and not afraid to take on new challenges. I always avail myself to colleagues when the need arises. I am a fast learner and enjoy the daily challenges. Everyday has a new learning experience. I enjoy my interaction with clients and on many occasions I get to meet the family as well. I am an all rounder. Currently I have been moved to reception as there was a need for this and at the same time I am still performing my daily functions consulting with clients. It's challenging working with clients especially face to face. Everyone comes with their own unique problem or query. Being sensitive to the clients needs and situation is of utmost importance.

Absolutely fantastic!
Momentum is an extreme client-centric organisation and we pride ourselves on creating a bond with each individual client. Staff are always ready and willing to help and managers do their utmost best to keep the financial advisors happy and assist them when times get rough. Our training programs are superb and there is always someone on hand to assist at any given time.
Pros: Meeting new people on a daily basis.
Cons: People do not realise the importance of insurance and cancel during tough times.

Working at Momentum
a typical day at work include coming in morning reading through e-mails / responding / resolving queries, then planning the day. work for the day include preparing death claims for presentation at the Trustee meeting, liaising with internal / external clients, doing reports, paying of death claims, approving colleagues claim payments, working closely with colleagues and admin manager.
Pros: good learning opportunity
Cons: travelling (long hours in traffic)

I learned a lot about IT, agile environment, analysis and team work. I have learned to push myself on days that I did not feel like doing so, because I could not let my team down. I also learned to take accountability for my actions and for the team and understood that continuous growth is very important in order to keep up with the fast growing industry.

I would describe the ideal job as a job that makes the most of my qualifications and abilities, and gives me a chance to constantly challenge myself. I strive towards a stable job with quality supervision, positive work culture at a successful company that will encourage me to work at my best. I choose the career option of a Personal Assistant that provides me opportunity to learn, progress, fostering strengths and contribute to the organization. My goals in my career option is to increase performance metrics, pick up and learn new skills, delegate work and tasks more effectively to increase my own productivity. Learning curve and experience
Momentum has been a very good starting point in my career and takes great care in helping their employees to gain experience and knowledge in their relevant field of work. Momentum afforded me the opportunity of training to achieve my qualification required for my scope of work. I have leant to be patient and accept the things I can not change but to work with enthusiasm on the things that I can change. I enjoy working with people and with my fellow advisors and we work closely together, sharing with and motivating one another. The most challenging aspect of my job is to accept change and work hard to build my broker base up again after it has been allocated to other units.

I trive to be the best at my job
I come in everyday with the attitude to be do my job to the best of my ability. My tasks are completed before the end of each day. All queries are sorted out timeously and the clients I deal with are always happy with the customer service that they receive. I have learned that although I have been in the working industry for the last 35 years I learn something new everyday. Dealing with clients on a daily basis and sorting out their queries and when things go in their favour bring me so much of joy. The challenges are when we cant get a clients case issued in time for our close off.
