I work as a cashier in front line en I also helping for supervising en work at cash office some days,at cash office we do count the money en balance our safe

Excellent learning curve
I started at pick n pay without any experience and with only matric.because i was egar to learn and grow with the company i ended up being a manager.i was originally from Pretoria but i have worked in pick n pay stores around limpopo ,makhado and Pretoria stores.i enjoyed opening new stores.managing new teams and with that experience i managed to study supply chain management with iq institute.
Pros: great opportunity for learning and promotion

Excellent learning
I was fun working at pick n pay I was always a bobble person good communication with my colleagues but was a casual all the time and no bonus for us its a great environment to work at working long hour 5days a week mostly weekends but the are no benefits like provident finds blue cards and some things that will help their imployees

I learn so many things at pick n pay more special when solving problems,how you treat customers.
I am the grate creative student wit lot of team spirit and i knw how operate the business as well as handling the customers,and also i have many ideas that can make business to success.what i like to say is that if i can be given a chance i can prove my self.

Good working conditions
It's a very neat environment people are always friendly willing to help at any given time one of the greatest things I learnt was operating sap system having to operate with your username be able to take decisions

Nice working enviroment
Working and supervising staff that understands me and not always complaining when are delegated to perform some duties and having good relationship with them and my superriors,knowing what is required from me to perform my duties and also acknowledged of my input by the management.

Learning curve
Long working hours and short lunch and tea breaks. Every month end you query about salary and unpaid over time. Promotion is only for some people who r not doing nothing

Not so great working experience
1. Discipline in terms of competition ( stickers not to steal at the tills) 2.Accuracy is key when dealing with money 3. Being alert of fraudulent activities e.g bank cards 4. Be very vigilant 5. I adapted quite easily as I work well with others 6. There is no union to fight for your rights 7. Two months without payment 8. There's no personal development and growth 9. Long working hours 10.struggle with transportation
