Excellent opportunity to learn how resilient I am and how much I enjoy educating
I currently work in an independent environment. If I do not plan my time effectively, I do not get paid. My day consists of: - calling clients and following up on their current portfolio's - Planning my appointments - Following up on their medical requirements - Collecting medical reports - Meeting training requirements and completing assignments - Preparing quotes and drawing up reports documenting the advise I have given a client - Conducting a financial needs analysis per client - Collecting data to ensure that the FNA's are not over insuring the client I have an excellent relationship with co-workers. Sanlam teaches you the importance of looking after your well being. I enjoy compiling FNA's for clients and preparing the documents to present these needs to them. The most challenging part of my job is waiting for a client to provide me with documentation, or to receive medical reports from Doctor's PA's.

Seeking better prospects and experience
I have 15 years experience in the insurance industry. Claims death and disability trauma. Data management. Project management. Premium and commission. New business. Rating. Underwriting. Specialist in group risk. Retirement experience. Pension and Provident Funds. Reassurance. Dealing with brokers clients front offices. Auditor and ombudsman suetiiand resolutions. I enjoy working towards strict deadlines and protocol. I have passion for clients and deliver superior outputs. Always. I also enjoy doing and preparing reports on processes and outputs within our environment. I always look for ways to improve processes for the benefit of the company and our clients.

Good nd fast learner
I was expected to have 3 clients per day selling the funeral service to each clients u meet. It was not easy but manage to make the target of the day . I have leant to work with team different people in the industry and i have loved and enjoy that the most

Honest,hard-worker and punctual
what i have learn is to work with a team and i was also enjoying that as well. The most challenging is when system is down we have to go extra mile and work extra hours or on weekend to push the work behind. Daily basis i capture new business on Omega system and upload new business on Shango system. The relationship with my colleagues is sharing of ideas.

Lots of good things learnt
Since I've started working at Sanlam I learned how to work with other people and time management,our working hours would be 8am to 4am as field workers.. There a very good relationship that we built with my co workers because we would help each other on how to make sales and we would celebrate together when we have validated I learnt to build relationships with other people which comes with different attitude that must be tolerated friendly..I enjoy working with people very much and I first built relationship with them so that I can empathise with them.. However during this job what I never liked is when the month is not the same as other the fact that I would not get paid because of less business is very frustrating..

Fast and competent learner
I deal with paying outs of pension and provident funds. I communicate with clients on a daily basis, handling queries. we have a team based environment and we have to work well together to make sure that we all meet targets for the month. My communication skills have improvement and i have learnt how to work under pressure. It gives me joy when i have finalized a claim without any hassle. The best part about my job is that you learn something new almost everyday. The challenging aspect includes when Funds are liquidating and one has to explain to clients the process it takes before they can be paid out. It is challenging because these involve sections of the Pension Funds act that most people do not understand and clients start to think that we are just withhold their funds.
