Excellent learning curve and meeting lots of people
I loved working at Spar Gugulethu, it was different culture that I worked with. The manager was young and we worked together as a team. I was a all rounder and learnt everyday new things on the computer and in the retail shop.

Great place to learn more and show case your skills
Being a chef it take patience, passion and more focus, As a Chef you must be organized and creative, you mist be able to think on your fit. Communicating with your co- workers is very important, it creates teamwork and more understanding, ever since i came into this industry i have learnt that self confidence and allowing new ideas to be pitched to you, can take you to greater places. What i like the most about this industry is playing around with food, trying out different interesting ideas in food plating and coming up with new recipes, learning more about different types of cuisines. The most challenging part of this industry, are the Clients, some clients are difficult to impress, but as a Chef who knows her job, you must know your clients and know what is it that they want from you.

Excellent learning curve
Great place to gain experience. Some of the management does not necessarily know what they are there to do. There is no synergy nor an understanding of what team work is. That tends to create an unfavorable working environment.

Learning all areas of retail
Orders, stock control and salrs is the name of the game. Making sure we are the best in fresh and giving excelent customer service. Motivating and training staff hands on to make sure we have a good relationship and that communication is a priority. Leading by exsample and making sure that I, as the leader make a diffrence every day. Take on challenges and dealing with difficult customers will always be part of the daily running of the store and we use this to grow and better ourselves.

Learnt how to take responsibility for certain
I learnt to work over time and as a team. Sharing tasks and having good communication skills(verbally and physically) . Offering good customer service always and been responsible too

Excellent
I started working at spar on the 22 april 2016. I was employed to work as a merchandiser at the perishables. I have an excellent relationship with the staff and have a good customer service. I was thought to do office job invoices an to the price to, create labels, downloud orders and to make claims.
Pros: i am good in creating displays for promotion items
