GROWTH

My journey at Telkom has been thus far knowledgeable (constant formal and informal training), very challenging for me professionally, emotionally and physically (change is constant, no 2 days are the same, so you forced to step up accept the change instantly and perform your duties) Almost every year teams are rearranged hence you must constantly adjust to working with different people and adjusting to their different work styles, opinions, attitude and become a team player, providing support and accepting and providing criticism in a constructive way. I have learnt and development in unmeasurable ways both professionally and personally which has promoted my growth and success. I enjoy most new challenges, new project and promotions that entails learning new strategy and new mind adjustments. The most challenging aspect of my job is red tape because I know I can deliver and exceed expectations however such restrictions prohibit me from excelling.

Cons: no growth for promotion-possible retrenchment

Excellent learning curve

Working at Telkom is a great opportunity. It offers the great deals and the co-workers are great. But the salary is disappointing. The learning opportunities are awesome and it good for a starters.

It's a goog company to work for. Environment is conducive. I would recommend people to work for this company. Company culture is Good, the environment is perfect. There is work and life balance.

Great

I am an energetic, self-motivated and fast learning female who acknowledges working independently and as part of a team. With regard to the above-mentioned details, I am of the opinion that I possess quality of being an appropriate candidate. Working closely with management, has equipped me with excellent communication and reporting skills, interpersonal and working with deadlines. In the light of the above, I am able to liaise with all the stakeholders, interested and Affected Parties. I have also acquired in depth knowledge and experience of customer centricity, company policies and procedures.

No longer working there

I'm no longer working for company, I got early package when they were offered to avoid retrenchment. No opportunity of going to high positions. No motivation to improve ones studies.

Have customer support experience as well as good troubleshooting skills.

I have a bachelors degree in IT and a national diploma in Computer systems engineering. I have over four years experience in the IT industry and believe that the experience that I have acquired during my time as an Application support analyst matches with the requirements of the post that I'm applying for.

Telkom is a diverse company wher one can learn a lot of things and have more experience not in one departmewnt but in all the areas of learning like starting a project from start to finish.

Excellent learning curve

Good company to work for but the main problem is favouritism. To grow up and develop you should know someone. They give people without skills and strategic plans to save the company higher positions.

Excellent learning curve

I have been working for Telkom SA for 17 years, holding different positions within the organization. I have acquired extensive experience from Sales consultant to Business Account Specialist. My entire work experience at Telkom has granted me more insight on how to run a business and has equipped me with more skills.
