The company is a good place to learn as there are lots of issues pertaining to production, training, recruitment and overall moral of staff. We are short staffed, but that doesn't stop us from pushing towards a common goal of improving our work place from management down.

Great learning experience

Worked at tiger brands after completing my qualification in the field of analytical chemistry, at that point i only wanted to graduate and obtain my qualification.But during my experiential work there i got to learn a great deal when it comes to analysis of raw materials,Custodian of material speci?cations, Controlled incoming materials , Managed material retention and reference samples. Identi?ed non-conforming materials (making a d. Managed validation, calibration and veri?cation of measurements and testing equipment. Provided professional opinion in case of non-conforming results.

Pros: Great company to add to my arsenal for being well known and in terms of career development

Easley approachable

I like working with the team that's is supportive, covering and co operativery. I'm the person who does his job according to schedule.I plan my day and I accept overtime if necessary.

Lack of human resources has resulted in employees being overwelmed with work load.

Lack of strong leadership for higer level. Employees are overworked and do not have the necessary tools to ensure they meet their delivarables. High turnover due to lack of human resources and a positive working culture.

Great Engineering exposure

Assisted in the elimination of the NID 4 bottleneck batching process by increasing the Glucose pipeline diameter to allow for shorter batchng system that recovers material that would have been washed out in a pipeline during changeovers. ? Reduced time for the Cooling Pots to cool the temperature of the syrup by introducing coils inside the Pots to improve the rate of heat transfer.

Lack of review from senior management and no growth opportunity within company. Putting in more than expected yet no recognition. No appreciation from the company or its executives.

Good place to learn

Its a good company to work for, ive learned and grown a lot since ive been working at Tiger brands, work environment is okay, relationship with employees is okay no complains

It is a tough working enviroment though.

The day is usually quite structured with many stakeholder meetings. However , the pace is fast and things tend to change quickly. You need to be agile and very responsive. We have a dynamic team who work well together. I love the fact that no day is the same! The most challenging part of the job is the stakeholder buy in's.

Exellenct learning curve

I have started working for tiger brands in July 2016 ,it is the wonderful experience that the person would gain in the big company. i worked in the Logistic department planing of trucks controlling of chep pallets.
