Excellent learning curve, been exposed to supply chain and it's operation

enjoyed the multi level interactio interaction with the value chain team. The work day starts off with team meetings supplier meetings. I have learnt to be versatile , able to communicate across all levels. Enjoyed the family feeling amount get colleagues Most challenging was to meet market demand, and understand the inaccurate forecasting .

People relationship. planning and organising

People relationships are good, my relationship with co-workers are good , a typical day comprise of morning meetings, planning, organizing , ensuring production is met and item are available to avoid stoppages the most challenging aspects are meeting market demand.

Teaches how to work in team work

Good company ,but space for growth is less but working with people is great and its another way of teaching yourself to work with people and it teaches you leadership as a fieldmarketer and what I enjoy most is knowledge of the work I do and working with customers and helping them.

Learning curve

The company is a good place to learn as there are lots of issues pertaining to production, training, recruitment and overall moral of staff. We are short staffed, but that doesn't stop us from pushing towards a common goal of improving our work place from management down.

Pros: More responsibilities and opportunities for promotion

Good house keeping hygiene safety team work

Tiger brands is big manufacturing consumer company. Whereby it has a big vision and standard set by ISO 22000 for food safety. The company sets goals in terms of improvement whereby every morning before shift start all workers attend a small 15 min meeting to discuss future goals and previous obstacles. Every year there is a training induction to refresh the employees.

Pros: growth within the company
Cons: shifts and overtime if necessary

Managing conflict and consistent application of policies

I work at a plant with 522 permanent workforce and 100 casual workers mostly leave relievers. I deal with employee queries(salary, leave),advising line and supervisors of how to best handle industrial relations matters, facilitate recruitment process(advertising, preparing a long list and doing background checks, make offers, regret unsuccessful candidates, perform exit interviews) I have learnt to be fair and not compromise HR and provide excellent customer service to all stake holders. I enjoy IR and maintaining discipline within the workplace. Dealing with line managers that don't want to comply.
