It was great company to work for
I currently unemployed. I resigned last year in 2017 April 30. Due to personal reason. I been working for Transnet for the past ten years. Started as filing clerk for three month contract and the extended my contract to receptionist and I was employef as a permant employee in 2010 as Human resource time and attendance. I'm 2013 I moved to Operation I worked as operator lifting equipment . In 2013 I got a job at Transnet national port authority as office administrator. It was a nice experience working for a bigger company like Transnet. I had lot of opportunities I had an exposure working at procurement as stock takes and communication department organising event for a company. I was also in a women commitee and wellness champion group. My problem started when I moved to Operation because I worked long hours more than forty hours a week and nineteen days a month. It was hard and dispressing cause hardly see my kids and my family. But beside thati had wonderful time and I enjoyed my job.

I would appreciate a new opportunity to learn some more of my field and expecties
I am a well-balanced and hardworking person. I am determined, intelligent and responsible and am a team player. I am known as a trustworthy and reliable person and I am positive in everything I do. I have very high expectations and morals in life and I enjoy motivating people around me to the best of their abilities. Problem-solving and diplomatic skills are my working tools on which I rely in achieving my goals. I am good at noticing details and are able to distinguish between that which is important and that which can be disregarded. I have excellent organizing skills and I have a natural flair for public relations where I can utilize my communication and liaison abilities. I have a good business sense with high determination and people relate very positively towards me. In my dealings with others I am tactful and loyal. I am a self-starter who is able to work individually or in a team. I am very organised and I like having order.
Pros: Well I'm hard worker with or without supervision and I believe I can instil that in others that I work with
Cons: In my line of work we even work stand by so working overtime is something I expect

Excellent learning curve
Currently working for Transnet as Millwright,my previous employment was in Newcastle under company called Arcelor Mittal that Wher I qualified as Millwright I then moved to Richards bay under company called BHP billion of which it South32 now I was there as Maintenance Millwright also
Pros: I work as normal Person attend all required work making sure all the service and maintaining is kept under company rules making sure all job cards has been filled,if I am running breakdowns making sure the time I utilize it at a correct manner to avoid long delays then after hand all to the next coming shift as required, I do enjoy learning all different types of work since I do not choose what to do and what not to do I dedicate my self when it comes to doing my job
Cons: I do not mind working long hours specially when my shift has passed knowing I left a breakdown and I havnt find a fault l actually dedicate my time and stay behind working till I figure out the fault and the impact of it

Excellent work environment, Great team members. Very challenging at times.
The aspect i enjoy the most in Transnet is the ability to work in an environment that allows me to do something that i whole-heartedly enjoy. A typical work day consists of ensuring all environmental aspects in all Ports across SA are being looked after.
Pros: Offers good work / life balance. Offers opportunities to study further.
Cons: Very limited opportunity for career growth.

Excellent learning curve
I have been in the company for over 4 years and the experience is amazing. The salary is not that good but I have learnt a lot from the company. It has built a strong character out of me

Excellent learning curve
Working shifts, challenging but an individual ha the company gave good opportunities like bursaries and promotions to senior level.the most challenging part of the job was to work irregular hours ands to be desciplined because.
Pros: Great experience to work unusual hours.

Good working environment
- Site based most of the time - Good working relationship with colleagues - I have acquired a lot of management skills and how to work with a team - Most challenging aspect of the job is driving long distances for long hours - What I enjoy most is the opportunity to grow academically by attenting courses and trainings

I HAD ALOT OF EXPERIENCE TO WORK IN A TEAM AND KNOW HOW TO WORK UNDER PRESSURE.
MY TYPICAL WORK DAY IS TO WORK OUR DAY WORK FINISH AND DO IT TO PERFECTION.I HAVE A WONDERFUL RELATIONSHIP WITH MY CO-WORKERS AND LEARN EVERY DAY FROM EACH OTHER AND RESPECT ON DIFFERENT LEVELS.I HAVE LEARN TO WORK IN A TEAM.THE MOST I ENJOY IS TO WORK IN A TEAM.TO WORK TWO DAYS STRAIT WITHOUT REST.
