Senior Consultant

I work for Vodacom department finance and commercial . We support sales team who sell Vodacom products to our corporate customers. My typical daily work would be trying to come up with lucrative deals for our sales. The market it's very tough competition is huge so I would also compiled princing matching what's on the market or offer better pricing. Managing our acquisitions and retention budget and making sure payment and credit are processed in time to our customers. I'm a team player work very well with colleagues. My daily tasks are very interested the is new challenges everyday hectic at times as we do not want to lose our existing base and trying to enquire more customers by putting profitable deals. What I find challenging is that our customers have become price conscious. They very careful about their spend. And we are also challenge by economical changes our random has been stable.

Good communication industry

Duties on NT I am currently working at Vodacom as Customer administrator consultant, Since January 2017 until to date. I am responsible in processing service request received from client, receiving customer’s request via Service request (SRM) Icap workflow and action them according to the defined TAT &set SLA’S. Creation new mobile account numbers and hardware account, placing orders for customer request devices, sim card and contingency stock, responding and resolving customer’s service request. Migrations of lines to the new commercial agreement, Process cancellation of contract and blacklisting devices, Activation of newlines and ports, Activation of vas.

It is a well learning company but you are not valued in it.

Vodacom has taught me a lot of things. The problem with them is that they always want you to give them things but you would never receive back from them. You can give great service to every client of yours but if its one mistake then they want to fire you. The total hours worked is ridiculous and the pay for it and days off also is ridiculous.

Learning new skills

I'm a recent graduate in National Diploma in Information Technology(Support Services), I have a one year work experience in Applications Support from Vodacom and seven months experience in IT Junior Support work experience from Gijima. During my life in university varsity, I served as an Academic mentor and a student assistant tutoring other students. I'm fast learner, hard worker, can work flexible under pressure be able to produce quality. Able to work with other people and professionally in teams.

Customer service

I was working 8 hours a day,during a week it 08:00 to 05:00, half day on Saturday which iz 08:00 to 02:00.with my staff we were all did provide good service to our customer to keep them smilling when they in d shop.it have tearched me to be honesty,to be any leader and being great in what i was done,i have enjoy to speak and solve problems of our customer,but same challenges is that same other customer didn't not understand what you were trying to slove for them bt we make sure that there where walking out in our shop with the smill in the face

Excellent

Working with team is more fun and assist one another is most thing I enjoy and I have learn that anything is possible don't tell yourself you don't have a experience about certain job just believe in yourself then you will make it . the challenge when I have to collect 1100.000 monthly and never make collection before

Excellent Exposure

Good experience within Vodacom. From great balance and working professionalism. high outputs with strict deadlines. Learning from senior members but also being invited to teach them any skills acquired. Working time is flexible.
