Excellent company to work for

Difficult environment to work in. My relationship with my co-workers i cordial. I have learned to apply my project management skills properly developed technical skill not easily reachable. Challenging aspects of the job is more people than technology. Enjoyed freedom to be able to engage with technical teams across the organization.

Pros: small opportunities for develeopment
Cons: If you not networked properly your chances of promotion are real small

Team player

Was working at Absa for the passed 5 years, was working as a teller and customer service. In my working experience, I have built a strong relationships with my co-workers and we worked as a family. Working as a team has taught me to build a relationship with my co-workers, to get the job done in time. What most I enjoyed working with my team was, we knew when we had to deliver to the company and generate the sales branch, we helped each other to meet our targets.

Pros: Great opportunities.
Cons: Working hours.

I am currently unemployed my last job was with absa ,as a sale support consultant I was supporting the enterprise bankers with admin work . but contract ended in June.

Pros: Always try to make the client happy
Cons: Don't give clients false promises

I am a hard working lady, always passionate on learning new thing since that sharped my mind on how to be more strategic believe on unlearning and learn as I believe that there is always room for improvement and actually learning more even adapting to changes

I have experience in the administration.

absa is a very big company that provides its employees with a lots of opportunities, when i first joined the company i had no experiences but they gave me an opportunity to learn. i was an administration clerk at 1st then a payment admin, the later made me a third party recovery consultant.

Pros: yes
Cons: i was working from eight o'clock in te morning untill half past four in the afternoon.

Excellent learning opportunity

Excellent learning experience and opportunity with great customer satisfaction based strategy. The best big bank to work for in my opinion. I started as a fresh young lad knowing absolutely nothing about the industry and during the course of my career can confidently and proudly attribute my knowledge base and skills to my company.

Cons: Large employee pool, which limits individual acknowledgement

Learning new ways of working from other companies/environment.

ABSA is enthusiastically applying new strategies to reclaim the lead in the financial sector. Great opportunity for professionals to learn and hopefully be future leaders of thefinancial industry, ABSA is the place to be if that's what you aim to achieve.

Hard work

I am currently working for absa in a very small branch where preasure is delt with on a daily bases.sales targets needs to be reached and excelent customer service needs to be delivered on a daily bases.I am a person who interacts with anyone around me wherther its my co-workers or clients.I believe in doing it write the first time and i do not believe in reworks.in the six years i have learnt almost every department in the workplace.i am always available to learn new things everyday or at any given oppotunity . in this industry you face very challenging aspects such as clients and also internal situations daily

Pros: working for Absa is a very big and good oppotunity to work yourself up and gaining experience for the future
Cons: we sometimes work for long hours

Excellent in customer service

i am customer service candidate that deals with quries such as sending documents in different departments such as fica bond department vehicles finance, calling credit card division fixing clients accounts when not active.replacing derbit cards helping in digital transactions such as banking app, internet cellphone banking. I love making clients happy by involving in their relationship as family wise that makes them feel specially by showing concernsinging for them on their birthdays. I love what I am doing dealing with clients so much. the challenging part is when departments dont respond when sending documents , but i have learnt to call until there is an outcome no matter how many times i call .

Pros: great team work
Cons: willing work long hours
