I work for one of the largest insurance companies in SA and we constantly aim to make a difference in people’s lives. Our organization is is very fast paced and can be very demanding, however, I’ve always been I’m for the challenge. I’m an ambitious individuals who always aims for excellence. I’m passionate about project management and looking to further my career in an environment that encourages growth.

Senior Account Manager
My day comprises of: Building and maintaining relationships with Doctors in Pretoria. My strength is to build strong relationships, and ensuring customer satisfaction I have learnt to work hard, and also have fun whilst working. I'm very approachable and accessible

I have learnt a lot
Administration of medication orders. Solving queries. Eg: medication not delivered. Medication delivered to incorrect address and arranging that member gets meds as soon as possible. Paying of copayment using banking details. Calling drs rooms for script. Calling pharmacies for meds and gen subs and scripts. Working hand in hand together with our pharmacist assistance. I learnt that can just wirk harder even if you thought tgat you have gone over and above. With discovery you can do even more. I enjoy the people and energy most. The most challenging aspect is that communication is weak. The company allows you to give your opinion but not much change comes about to accommodate the employee.

Cons: The office is badly situated and salaries are not good

Great learning environment
Learnt to always put my best foot forward and to work well in a fast paced environment. The opportunities for a promotion are minimal. Great place to build a great work ethic because you work on multiple projects all at once.

Excellent learning environment, opportunities for growth in career, learning environment.
A typical work day would start at home, planning out which of my clients would need attention, whom has yet to pay, who is yet to receive their billing statement. On arrival I’d pull up an arrears statement detailing all the different outstanding payors and all creditors. My focus would lie on the most problematic and I would commit the the day on assisting the yhe company resolve what ever differences. I would then call all my up to date payors and thank them for their beautiful work. Then I would follow up with a call to all intermediaries in relation to troublesome clients and if necessary ask them to assist, or assist any intermediaries with work.
