I actually enjoy my job, working and helping people recover there missing data makes me feel that I've made a difference....... We do standby one week per month, backup team is cross skilled on all backup plate forms (NetWorker, Avamar, Data Domains, DPA, NBU, Opcenter and HydraStor) well balanced team

Excellent learning curve
I Lusanda Ngazi i hold a national diploma in Information Technology, I am a motivated person, oriented person who is always looking for a challenge to enhance my skills, i work well under pressure because i prepare for it before it comes, i try to stay as calm as possible and focus on getting the job, i work well with different people and i like to adapt with different environment

Yes it was
my last employment was with discovery connect. i really loved it there. it was very busy cause i was selling medical aid product, however i found it very interesting cause i dont remember sitting around and folding hands, all we did was working all day and giving good customer service to our clients. i am a very good team player, i worked well with fellow employees, cause i am very friendly and easy to talk to, so everybody loves me wherever i go, cause i just help where help is needed, even if i dont know you will still help if needed. i have learned to deal with different cultures and also obtained a need to be able to please each and every individual, regardless of their behaviors. i always enjoyed giving out a specific plan for specific client, because i had to listen and match their needs with what i have to offer them, so i used to enjoy that. It was do stand firm and transparent about the exclusions and costs applied to specific covers that they chose.

Good entry level job
I have been working for Discovery Health for 3 years now. It is a great place, with many young individuals. However there are not a lot of growth opportunities. Especially in my field of study wich is Analytical Chemistry. I have a great entry level job with co workers who love their job. But I need to advance for my career by getting expirience in my field of study.

High pressured enviroment
Working for discovery health has improved the quality of service whether it be escalations, confirming, explaining benefits, assisting with financial queries and plan changes ensuring regular feedback. I can now on a expert level deal with all sorts of queries and escalations in a professional manner.

Excellent exposure
I have been working at Discovery Health for the past 2years 6 months. I have mastered a skill I did not know I had. That has pushed me to a level that all I can think of is striving for more. I enjoy the fact that our work is based on team ethics. I enjoy having to assist and be assist when failing at something, and end up doing the best.

Excellent learning curve
It is huge and a great company to work on. But I have learnt as much as I can and due to personal growth and out of the contact centre experience I need to move to.

Awesome Company Fun And Relaxed Environment
Based on my tenure with discovery health between September 21st 2015 to 31st July 2019 I would say overall the company is efficient and customer central with a fun and friendly environment with strict focus on meeting our members needs . The company had alot of awesome facilities like gym game room restaurant . Overall it was a great career experience. A typical Day at discovery is an early morning shift followed by 2 tea breaks and 1 lunch it's mostly customers calling in with medical aid queries like changing details updating policies and such
Pros: Well known organisation years in the medical aid industry
Cons: Stressful at times and long shift and overtime is sometime required
