Edcon is Good working Group

I am store operation manager, I dedicate to making sure all products in Store are at right position to customers interest, also making all products at stock room are represented on the sales floor (Right products, Right Qualities, Right time to right customer always). At all time creating customer experience of a mind blowing, in case their around the mall they couldn't leave without entering my store. Making the store user friendly to customers and employees. Mentoring, supporting and Develop my team of employees or colleagues. Verifying store Admin checks and stock Admin, including store Finances and discipline in all times.

Pros: Great opportunity on promotions
Cons: Working long days without day offs most influence are Regional Management.

Attention to detail

I enjoy the companies Culture which is fast paced and challenging and gives me the freedom to make Strategic & Tactical decision for my business unit as a Regional Operations manager. Daily store operation brings a new set of challenges which I enjoy. The most challenging aspect of the my current role is to ensure 100% store execution against the brief which I embrace. I enjoy training & developing others which is rewarding when they grow and contribute positively to the business unit and company

Good learning environment

Since I came to this company I have learned a lot about customer service and dealing with stakeholders. I have a good relationship with my co-workers and enjoy working difficult customers

Good working environment

The organization is going through major challenges of change in all areas, The people are great but at the momenta feeling discouraged. I have learnt to be resilient, ive enjoyed the people i work with and building relationships with the team.

Excellent learning curve

Edcon employs a large number of people. My role is centralised and also requires lot of travelling. I further put additional hours to get the job done.

Work development and more

Working at Edcon gave me more experience in many different skills, multitasking skills, working under pressure , learn how to work independently ,communication skills, how to behave at work place and to take my responsibilities at work . my duties is base on receiving equipment and dispatching equipment to different stores and data capturing.

Pros: Skills development and understand many people behavior and workers. More opportunities as for I grown from different Edcon retail shops Jett to Edgar's,Warehouse to had Office doing an stock take operation logistics.
Cons: Work under pressure, to much of work ,Harvey duties and working dependent

It's an excellent learning curve and a good career growth

It is so professional, it empowers its employees and teaches us to be leaders , We work hand in hand with our leaders and executives they are all supportive. Working here has taught me so much
