A right place for learning,growth and experience
Such an excellent learning environment you experience working at Edcon.The give you more and more tasks resulting in overall excellency.To date I am proud to claim the knowledge across the Departments.Endless learning is what I experienced with Edcon.I do also possess a "night retail" experience by the way.This in brief suggests that if I join a company other than this current one I will just excel.They day with co_workers always seems very short due to the way we relate with each other,on job,by the way.The most I have experienced and learned is that experienced and excellence derives from love and passion and patience.The most challenging aspects of the job is ironically customers.They bring cash and success,at the some stages they too demanding,for instance:No exchange is allowed on all underwears but they insist on exchange

The learning has been great, but growth is limited.
The company is a great place to start to learn about the nature of Retail, while instilling high performance drive in employees. However, the lack of growth opportunities, and lack of incentives for staff sucks the passion out of employees.
Pros: Great pressure and work ethic developed.
Cons: Long hours with no overtime pay. No growth opportunities because of the restructures over the past few years.

Being able to solve customer queries
Working in a retail industry have many challenges, having to meet different customers and attitudes. What i have lernt the most is in whatever situation you are in with a customer or a co-worker i must deal with it in a calm and a professional manner.
