Excellent Learning curve. Learned how retailers work
set up meeting with stakeholders, have JAD sessions. Document business requirements. Review documents and get sign off. Map the process if necessary. I work well with my co-workers. I enjoy working with different stakeholders and building my relationships. I have learned about the retail, one thing can be relevant today however down in 6 months it cannot be relevant anymore and changes all the time. Notations on process mapping was a challenge at 1st as I keep doing it over and over I am great at it now over time.
Pros: Culture is the one I love the most about this company
Cons: changes sometimes can give one uncertainties although it is always for the growth and best of the company and our customers

Administrative experience
Iam a young female currently working at Edgar's active hazyview as a store admin manager doing store filling and banking services for the business and, I also worked for SA post office opening post banks account as well as sensing mails.i have a traceble references as mantioned on my Cv, iam very flexible with my own vehicle. I am a self-taught individual with over 10years of giving exceptional customer service
I�ve performed duties such as organising food numerous occasions for staff members, managing of petty cash, being a head cashier and recently being selected to be a Financial Services Administrator. Teaching others how and what to look for in terms of seeing a fraudulent ID, Passports, Receipts, Proof of Income and Bank statements in numerous times.
Pros: Given an opportunity to oversee new canvassers and being the stores financial services administrator
Cons: Stoct taking and mornitering canvassers to pitch new business to clients

I am very creative given the environment and the resources to work with and I believe in teamwork and support, is the only way towards achieving productivity in any environment, with the effort of finding ways on how to improve day-to-day business transactions. The market of this field has new trends on day-to-day basis of which that is a challenge for any organisation to meet and these requires a thoroughly equipped personnel who can meet these challenges and yet fulfilling demands of an organisations successfully without any pressure.

Good learning curve
Edcon is a home away from home.Everyone here eager to help or come with solutions.They give you opportunity to growth and how to work under pressure and multi tasking and to optimize as well. They provide us some information related on work,send us in training such as first aid,fire fighter etc .they create . We always work as team to meet our targets and we compete to other branches on monthly basis that alone make us a solid team because we want to be winning tean and the best always and I am enjoying working as a team because if even if you are lacking in soamething it's easier to catch up on a teamwork. I've learned that customer's are differ with different attitude yet that doesn't give you to change yours.as they say kill them with smile,even if he/she is angry listen,calm and smile am sureso you will break the ice.

Excellent learning experience
I have learned a lot at Edcon, I worked 8 to 5 PM. I normally dealt with fraud detection on the customer's account. Providing customers with feedback. I really loved working with my co-workers and the team work. What I have learned was you got different cases everyday of fraud detection. I enjoyed discovering new fraud trends and a happy customers.

It has a good style in terms of recruiting their employees
It has it own academic school were it trains its own employees in terms of the position they have applied for,the staff members are very friendly,and it terms of overall situation,it taught me how to treat a customer and how should u behave wen something has occurred at ur work place

Job description
I started working for this company in 2006 as a temp and because of my determination on what I do they took me on the 1 year course and they gave me a permanent employment and they moved me from Mall to the store in Town and I worked there as the head cashier, stockroom(receiving stock). After I was promoted to be the Merchandise and I applied for the credit associate post they took me and I am working close with the management. Now I am doing the following: Inquiries Batch Cards Cash Office Banking Administration (Filling) Stork Room (receive stork and Filling)
Pros: the shop opens at 09:00 and we need to be at the shop around 08:00
Cons: we do work long hours during stock taking and the last day of the Month

Excellent learning curve
Excellent company to work for gained a lot of experince and challenges one just need growth and explore new challenges. Been a superviour for years with my company. Having a great relationship with my colleagues at a retalis store theres customers challenges on a daily bases but unfornately its about them being happy. What i enjoy most at work is learning a new thing i like new challenges so its exciting to learn everyday. The most challenging aspect about my job is working through the weekend and public holidays.
