A salesman with a proven track record at Edcon Ltd pty co. I’ve work from the past two and half year than went out for furthering my studies. That was a good sense of getting a well exposure into the work environment. Also getting experience and growth within the company. Incentives was quiet balanced and work load was well structured.
Pros: Typical good job for industrial exposure
Cons: Highly supervised and working holidays and get off on weekdays

Good working environment
The organization is going through major challenges of change in all areas, The people are great but at the momenta feeling discouraged. I have learnt to be resilient, ive enjoyed the people i work with and building relationships with the team.

Wonderful company.
I love working for Edcon. The current financial situation it has doesn't leave room. So it is unfortunate but I have to seek other employment. I hope to find som place that I can also call my second home and love my job. Also note 5th at I cannot see what I am typing on those tab. for me getting a permanent position

Working with different characters and cultures
Being able to influence and lead a team of over 36 employees through motivation performance plans and reviews is a skill most have not perfected it take a whole other level of enthusiasm and energy to lead a team and achieve targets and objectives in a fun productive manner.
Pros: Knowing the company as a whole and veing able to function in both Admin and operations gives a great advantage in being able to handle all challenges the fast pace retail life humbles you into look forward to
Cons: Reatails long working hours dont allow much of a social life and at times that is not healthy as family & friends are important

Learning a different industry to what I studied. Added knowledge
Fast paced due to changes in trends. Alot of pressure. Ensure queries are attended to timeously. It is a routine based kind of job. People are kind and open. Organisation and prioritization is important. As there is alot of work. There are alot of activities to de-stress employees and training to uplift people. Open and serious about workplace issues.

Not a company for everbody to work in
My typical work day is doing store visit to update staff about layouts,promotions,new structure and display layouts.I have a good understanding with my colleagues and we work well together.I have learned that not everything is black and white and that understanding people is very important to have a good work flow,and a good understanding of the systems you need to work with.I enjoy working with the people in the stores,training and upskilling them.The most challenging is getting to all the stores in a short space of time.Making sure everybody understand their role they plan in the company and to get everybody to work towards one goal
Pros: You have freedom to work as you see fit and to implement your new ideas
Cons: The owner is not always understanding and like to het rid of people he does not like
