Edcon is a home away from home.Everyone here eager to help or come with solutions.They give you opportunity to growth and how to work under pressure and multi tasking and to optimize as well. They provide us some information related on work,send us in training such as first aid,fire fighter etc .they create . We always work as team to meet our targets and we compete to other branches on monthly basis that alone make us a solid team because we want to be winning tean and the best always and I am enjoying working as a team because if even if you are lacking in soamething it's easier to catch up on a teamwork. I've learned that customer's are differ with different attitude yet that doesn't give you to change yours.as they say kill them with smile,even if he/she is angry listen,calm and smile am sureso you will break the ice.

Excellent learning curve
It always exciting and i am always eager to know what will i be my new experience on a daily basis. I try to be very pro active because thats when i learn new things at my workplace beacuse there is always something to learn, as long as one looks for opportunity to. One of the best things that make my days at work enjoyable is obviosuly my colleagues who have become my second family. I learn a lot about being a person who understands people from different backgrounds, they way to interact with them in a positive manner. I enjoy working with new styles of fashion, new trends. The most challenging thing about the job is the long hours we work in this industry.

Excellent experience
I have gained more experience and exposure by working for Edcon head office and Store level. I enjoyed working with different people in different levels of the company which helped me to develop more character in retail business

Willing to learn new thing an me easily adapt to new environment
Edcon it was like home,sending feedbacks &also collating for region,filling everyday,tasking staff,merchandising,replenishing,receiving&unpacking,cellphones,promoting promotion &sales,putting customer first. We were like a big family,sharing ideas,knowledge,huddling every morning and afternoon,I have learned a lot each teach one,p n l, stock and sales,koi,How to keep customer coming in our company. Enjoyed huddles discussing how to improves our sales woo &etc.challenges it was compitetors but we were making sure we promote via sparked,approach customers,fliers

Excellent
Because they is no increase my salary is still remain the same as a stater,they is no off day when it a festive season and month ends, leaf hours is expired when you are not using it during the year because they is no leaf in the festive season.

Edcon is Good working Group
I am store operation manager, I dedicate to making sure all products in Store are at right position to customers interest, also making all products at stock room are represented on the sales floor (Right products, Right Qualities, Right time to right customer always). At all time creating customer experience of a mind blowing, in case their around the mall they couldn't leave without entering my store. Making the store user friendly to customers and employees. Mentoring, supporting and Develop my team of employees or colleagues. Verifying store Admin checks and stock Admin, including store Finances and discipline in all times.

Cons: Working long days without day offs most influence are Regional Management.

Great
Amazing and friendly working environment. I learned alot for the department I was placed in. I would love for an opportunity to work there again. I feel like for an entry level position, it's was amazing what the company had to offer me. The opportunities outside the office were spectacular.
