Excellent Learning curve. Learned how retailers work
the company and culture is very relaxed, family oriented. Great team with many team building events. Our culture was when we work, we work and when we play we play hard. When we win, we all win and when we loose, we all loose.
Pros: Culture is the one I love the most about this company. Having a day care for children is excellent
Cons: changes sometimes can give one uncertainties although it is always for the growth and best of the company and our customers

Welcome Challenge
The company has not been doing well for the past few years, therefore it has been about survival since joining the company. We have been working on reducing costs and increase turnover. Stakeholder relationships have been critical as we needed all parties to be aligned and onboard. The fear of losing a job taught me to appreciate what I have and the importance of good relationships in this industry. It also taught me responsibility and to stay calm under difficult circumstances. I have grown into a resilient person and a strong believer in teamwork. It's true when they say teamwork makes the dream work.

Fast learner
I can not say i do have a typical day at work as i talk to everyone and that puts a smile in my face. working in a happy environment with happy people make a good relationship with co-workers. I have learnt to love and welcome everyone in life in order for me to be approachable.I. the most challenging aspects of the job for me is working under pressure.

Good company bad managers
Edcon its a good company to work for but the management they don't follow procedures its bad for company they just react without knowing what must be done before u take a serious action on the employee

Excellent
Good working environment, respect, good in sales, staff and management had good working relationsjip, sometimes working under pressure was nice in order to drive sales fingures to look good, aiming for one goal and that goal was to always be number one, scary news from the news papers about liquidation never let any one down or scare anyone all that was done was striving for success we were all power hungry to work in a successful growing environment

Wonderful working experience
Very professional and friendly environment where I feel at home.Given enough time to do duties and proper trainings are given.There is an early morning meeting everyday that gives a direction of how the day will go,targets,customer reviews,the ones who have done well are congratulated and rewarded.Also anyone with a birthday gets celebrated which makes it even more exciting to be in the environment.There is prayer shared also. It does get challenging at times when there are targets to be made and there is not enough feet coming in the store.It is a bad thing but also good in a way that it makes relationships to be kept with customers because days like that make you remember to call customers all the time to keep track of their visits in the store which brings extra profits.I enjoy helping people, my customers, my colleagues. I love sharing the knowledge I have with other people and see the excitement they have on their faces after I have made them discover something new or something they were not aware of.

Great growth Experience in this company
Monitor the businesses performance -Assisting with regular range building and presentations -Proficient knowledge on operating systems -Pulling out samples for good and bad performances for Monday trading Meetings -Management of PP samples and Bulk Production samples -Management/ Loading of promos and regular updates with store ops -Generating of purchasing orders -Regular store visits and comp shop expeditions -Identifying stock turns from reports in order to take necessary action to assist with the sales. -Retrieving data for post seasonal and reviews
Pros: - Currently handling 3 Brands in the Department worth R 300mil� collectively.
Cons: underpaid but handling 3 portfolios on my own, i have been acting as a buyer for 7 months with no pay
