This was a great learning ground where we built relationships and automatically where you needed to swim as it was a fast pace environment . Our typical day involved anyalsing then reacting to executing strategy plans that you have mapped out for department so that you achieve your KPI's. Managing the critical path of the buying cycle, This involves extensive negotiation with suppliers and other partners. Mentoring someones your assistants or buyers. Its a very versatile environment and very exciting, challenging and never boring. I have learnt to be professional, pay attention to detail, work under pressure, be resilient and tough while being and achiever daily. Small milestones always are work in progress to final outcome. I have learnt good leadership, being flexible and adaptable is vital to the success of any team. I discovered I love teamwork.

Excellent learning curve
It's great to work with people , meeting people of different characters from different back grounds. To meet customers expatations is a challenge but an exciting one. The most challenging part is when you have to leave your tasking of the day to do the priority that is operating the tills to avoid long Ques and still must finish your tasking. What I enjoy the most is learning new things everyday

At our company we get to learn more about other departments so that each individual can assist any department that becomes busy at a certain tome.. Working nicely with colleagues and we have became like family.

Excellent leaRNING CURVE
WORKING FOR THE COLLECTION DEPARTMENT WAS AN EXPERIENCE AND A HALF. I NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD COPE IN THAT DEPARTMENT . THE CHALLENGING PART WAS THAT I NEVER KNEW HOW TO NEGOTIATE BUT TO MY SURPRISE I DID REALLY WELL . DAYS ARE DIFFERENT AND MONTHS AS EACH DAY WAS A CHALLENGING ESPECIALLY MEETING THE TARTGET

Good
I like working at Edcon we like one big happy family with our manger and fellow colleagues but the promblem is the hrs that we a working they not as good as we wish it will be .I 've learned a lot about how to make customers happy to give what they want you need to smile for them even though sometimes it hard cause some of the customers they come with they eager and they will take it out on us but I really appreciate what I've learn and experience that I gain .

On job training , team work , self management, poeple skills
I really enjoy my job on our deadline day we run a report to not make any mistakes with our sign offs , we change each other hourly with my team .that report showes employees already signed off and still outstanding, the report also shows who's the Administrater that is behind with his /her work so that who finish first start assisting. In my department we are team players. I have learned to not put everything at heart, I have obtained leadership skills ,I have learned to stand to crowed of Poeple and talk ( mention my views ),I have learned to do excel reports What I enjoy the most with my team , when we under pressure its where we love each other the most ,it where you is care . I love our team work . The most challenging its when the stores dont comply with the processes.
