Excellent growth opportunities and career mentoring.
Although several years in the company, I was afforded several promotion opportunities throughout my tenure at Edcon and never remained in one role. Smart work was always recognised, and appreciated and made way for growth. Employees were always encouraged to develop themselves and provide input on working conditions and on any issue related to the working environment. The spirit of inclusion and diversity was strong. We lived the Edcon values of always putting people first.

Excellent learning curve
My work starts by looking at daily sales and then from there i look at emails from suppliers if theres any queries . I also print out various reports that relates to on time and late orders that still needs to come. I have an excellent working relationship with co workers. I have learnt from my job negotiating and dealing with suppliers that is relationship management. I enjoy building product ranges for customers and travelling as well. When not trading the inflexibility to cancel out of stock thats not trading due to supplier lead times.

I'm a quick learner
I enjoy working for Edcon as I feel like home in everything we do we get training first just the store I'm currently with is to small and I have been here for a while so Im used to everything while I want something new something that will challenge me as I'm willing to learn .I just learned that in everything we do on a daily basis customer comes first and it's more important rich ur monthly targets and make more profit every month.happy staff happy customers so it's important to make sure that ur staff is happy all the time

Working hard employee
I enjoy working for this company because I learned a lot. The relationship that I have with my co worker is great we help each other and teach each other work. I enjoy making sales I even go extra mile to get them e.g go outside and market customers.

Opportunity to develop myself and others
My duties Includes: driving sale, developing and couching of management , ensuring company process and procedures are in place and stores adhere to. Running promotion store without advertised stock. Taking poor manger into PIPP. Balancing of stock through out my regions. Analysing finger tip, P&L and stock and sales. Ensuring stock plan carefully staff as per business need to avoid overtime. No show and unapprove hours. Ensure all store drive new account and financial services. Assisting store with lay out changes seasonal. I love to interact with people everyday. My company value its staff,

Blue Ocean
Dynamic environment which was fast paced, no slow period in the month (end to end busy). A Business Operating Processing Centre that handled on average 125K calls per month per department excluding outbound and written queries, with the following departments (New Accounts, Customer Services, Collections, Digital, Fraud and Disputes). Diverse team with an exclusive management structure, learned to be able to handle pressure and changes. Enjoyed building relationships with clients and the staff. The demands of the job were a lot in terms of busyness and call flow especially during peak periods.

Excellent learning curve
A typical work day consists of reporting, analysis and other related activities. The company culture is ok but the room for growth is small and is not entirely based on the skill level, but rather on other factors and depending on whether the people interviewing you think you are the right person for the job

Great learning opportunities
Good working relationship, lots of team work. Learnt to many skills. Travel and meet lots of people. Challenging part is to upskill staff. Training staff to understand how to read reports and use it can be a challenge, however once understood they use it to better their business unit.

Excellent learning curve with no growth
