I am a subject matter expert on Project Management (professionally registered with SACPCMP), Contract management (compiled CM procedure and policy for Eskom, facilitate training on CM) and tender compilation and evaluations. I started my career at Eskom as a quantity surveyor, then became a project manager grew into managing programes and portfolios of projects. I am very involved in the CIDB (regulatory body for infrastructure), Council for the Built Environment and South African Council for Professional for Projects and Construction Management Professionals (SACPCMP). I am an active participant in these councils. I have also completed the ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor course.

Great learning environment
It is a great company to gain knowledge within the industry. They provide step by step training for beginners or students that train within the company it is a great company to start off your career at.

DAY TO DAY ACTIVITIES
Day to day activities. commission metering installations for LPU’s and substation stats meters. Remote metering and programming af meter. Load management and energy balancing. Faults finding and metering audits. My relationship with co workers is like we family as we working as a team and support each other and motivate each other to further our studies to empower ourself. To be patient and acknowledge colleagues shortfall and have a way to allocate the right task to each team members according to his/her potential. Transferring skill and completing my job in time. Addressing angry customers. Working alone in the field while there is a risk of wild animals and criminals.

Learning curve
hectic high work volume lack of team work especially orientation of new staff short lunches 30 min good place to learn given a chance small offices for comfortability

Excellent learning curve
I was commanded by my manager for demonstrating strong skills in: proactively managing important and time sensitive projects, developing innovative solution to critical problems, balancing stakeholder expectation with those of the company; and working collaboratively with other team members to establish efficient and effective systems of operation.

Excellent opportunity for growth
There is so much support for individuals who want to grow. I. E secondments are very possible and regular. Black woman empowerment. The company supports black woman manager and develop individuals as such. The company is so big I learn something new literally every day. I am in project execution and integration is key as we are one big supply chain. We rely on one on other for progress theforw support is incredibly there, from planning to design to execution. I have leaned, hard work, how to think strategically, coordination, integrated risk management, team work. What is challenging about the job is the ever changing demands by external stakeholders.

I have learned a lot from being apprentice to be experienced
I am an A Class Welder, I can welder all types of materials with different thicknesses, diameters and sizes , I can also weld different welding processes as I have being trained to.i am able to work extra hours because I love my job , I have a good relationship with my colleagues because it’s good to work with different people with different characters you learn a lot of things .
