Multichoice Reviews

Impressive company

Multichoice it's a good company to work for because I have meant a lot based on controlling my anger towards the company not the company only but also in the outside world of the business and building rupaul .The nice thing about working at multichoice is that the is weekly/monthly incentives that motivates the employees to do more.the relationship with my co-workers it's amazing because you can be able to approach them when you have personal problems. The most challenging thing about multichoice it's punting when I say punting I mean selling an insurance and pricelock because you have a target to reach in a month and working hours that a very crazy

Pros: Multichoice has growth but you need to have a qualification because most of the post needs a qualification
Cons: Working hours are just okay.the problem is when you work a late shift knocking off at 23.00 you need to provide your self with transportation to home or to the rank

Acquired Great Experience.

Working at Multichoice is wonderful experience. I acquire knowledge everyday simple because there is a lot of processes and operations within the organisation. MultiChoice has a lot of opportunities that one can build her/his career. I would recommend anyone who wants to work at MultiChoice to be open minded and be willing to learn new things that are out of their comfort zone.

Pros: Great Opportunities
Cons: Normal working hours

Great opportunity which helped me better understand the telecommunications industry

Big company with numerous amounts of resources to better help one grow on both professional and educational background if one is willing. Better care in uplifting staff with more availability to better accommodate the masses who want to venture into other fields, is all that's needed. Great place for interaction with fellow colleagues but lacks on general feel of the environment.

Pros: great place to help one expand their knowledge
Cons: lack of growth for customer care

Great learning experience

I worked at multichoice as customer service representative, my daily work includes, helping customers with billing on their account, technical troubleshooting, and I also stand in as a supervisor, we worked in teams of up to 15 people, the most challenging aspects of the job would be the process of escalation, especially a technical problem which must be sent to different departments, it's frustrating as you can't help the customer immediately.

Pros: Learning each day
Cons: Awkward working hours

Long working hours

It's the best company to work for. Interacting with different customers and fellow employees daily. Due to the magnitude of the company one hardly say knows everyone. The atmosphere is great, relationship between employees and management is superb.

Pros: Great opportunity
Cons: Transport scarcity especially on public holidays

Excellent learning curve

I call customers for documents such as proof of payments, ID copies, proof of banking details. I review documents and process their refunds. I then call customers to advise them once their queries, e.g refunds have been resolved. I correct billing on private and commercial accounts by reversing charges, capturing manual adjustment journals, cancelling, activating, disconnecting, reconnecting, upgrading and downgrading services. I call customers to update them on new products and services. I trace and allocate payments on accounts. I convince customers to pay their accounts via debit order. i convince customers to pay for their DSTV accounts manually. I convince customer to take up insurance for their devices. I help customers with technical and general queries where required. I handle about 60 queries per day. I enjoy the challenge that comes with my job. I learn something from it everyday.

Pros: Great opportunity
Cons: Long hours and overtime where required, limits growth

Great learning curve

Ive learned alot at multichoice, alot about customer relations and how to deal with different personalities. Its been a great experience. MY Day to day activities included reporting in on time , receiving calls about financial /technical issues, assisting customer with issue at hand , reporting to supervisor if necessary. I learned how to be an independent team player , that sometimes you need to go an extra mile for customers

Pros: learning curve
Cons: long hours
