Learning curve

I have over 11 years of analysis experience, 8 of which are at Nedbank personal loans (NBPL). In that period I have won Nedbank Top Achiever award. I also have market research experience from 3 different companies. I have attended the Nedbank Middle Management Programme and this has equipped me with the necessary knowledge for organisational management.

Litigation professional

I’m an LLB degree graduate from University of South Africa. I was previously employed as a Contract Assistant to an Attorney at Macintosh Cross & Farquharson Attorneys. I am currently employed as Legal Consultant at Motor Finance Corporation a Division of Nedbank Limited. I am very good with MS office Excel, Word, Powerpoint, and Outlook/internet. I have an extremely good knowledge of the civil litigation legal process. I have knowledge of the following Legislations: CPA (Consumer Protection Act), NCA (National Credit Act), FICA (Financial Intelligence Centre Act), FIAS (Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act), AML-CFT (Anti-Money Laundering Combating the Financing of Terrorism), POPIA (Protection of Personal Information Act) POCA (Prevention of Organised Crime Act).Issue Summons proceed with service of summons and the execution of the warrant.Ensures Lodging of judgement has been correctly followed all relevant annexures are attached. Investigate provisions on the client’s pleadings

My role is to grow and bring new business to the bank. Relationships with various stakeholders .

Nedbank is good company to work for but their structure and systems are outdated, that itself make it difficult to quickly on board new clients especially coming from FNB.

Pros: Opportunity to grow as a person
Cons: Long hours where mostly the circumstances forced you to work while on leave.

There is a lot of pressure

Lot of pressure,no qualifications audit done by HR department or salary reviews to check whether you qualification allows you to be in the position you are holding or not.

Very good experience

I am currently a letsema learner. Therefore it is just a stipend. It is a wonderful experience and great exposure to the banking sector. I also get to interact alot which was something I was not used to.

Results Driven and Client Satisfaction

The financial industry and sales market is high intensity and demanding. I excel in this environment and have continuously met target in most areas. Those high demand and intense scenarios coupled with a working in a team is hugely satisfying as it is results driven and the reward in such results is written in our client satisfaction. This is probably the biggest catalyst that keeps me motivated and focused.
