Great opportunities with great people
My company is big company which gives space for growth to their employees. Its interesting working for the company as it has opportunities for their staff. I enjoyed working with my ex-colleagues, they were fun to have around, we worked as a group sometimes and sometimes individually. Working for old mutual made me realize that I had capabilities that I never knew I had, I now know that I am very good at communication skills, working with people and being able to convince them at meetings. I'm glad I got the opportunity to work for Old mutual.

Excellent Learning Opportunity. Building your own network.
My biggest downfall in this company was that our Team Manager had just retired so most of the time I had to find my own way around things as other team members werent willing to help. This discouraged me. But it's a great opportunity for someone who wantss to try it. No salary limitations and flexible working hours. You build your own brand.

Great cultural environment, there's a lot to learn and it diverse.
Its a great space to work in, good healthy competitions and fun environments with great people to learn from. What might demotivate you is when you cannot reach target enough to get paid. You get what you work for. If you reach targets and beyond them your income will be quite healthy.
Pros: Great earning potential when you put your efforts into it.
Cons: No salary if you do not meet target

Love team work
A very challenging job and I have a good relationship with other employees as I'm leading a team of 16 people. What I've learn is team work and what I enjoy most is the challenges I came I cross they made me grow.

Excellent learning curve
I am currently working as a Financial Advisor for Old mutual.Ever since i have joined the company i have learned a lot things within the organisation.For example,you write your own cheque,you have to meet targets and deadlines.The job teaches me to be independent and responsible.

A day at Old Mutual
My work day is as follows:- When I log in my computer I open my outlook. Read my unread emails to see if there are any queries from my related parties; journal instructions from my business partners. After checking my emails I open Accurate (Accounting system) to see what needs to be reconciled in my balance sheet accounts and bank accounts. After reconciling all my accounts I contact my related parties regarding outstanding items in the accounts to resolve them. Our team assist of six people. We like a family. We assist each other personal and work related issues. We work together to achieve each others deadlines if one of us get stuck. Team work is very important and to give your opinion on a problem that needs to be resolved. I enjoy my work because it's not everyday the same problems that arise in an account. To keep to your deadlines over month-end and the systems are giving you problems.
Pros: If you go beyond your daily task and go that extra mile the whole year you can get an promotion
