I would like to work with you.im honest and im patients
I worked for pick n pay for 7 years as a cashier I reigned on August being raped on my way back from work. So now I want something change in my life ....i can clean,i can also pack.....i have two kids but they are staying with my mom at polokwane..I have a good relationship with my manager...I have learned how to treat customers
Pros: this will be a geart opportunity if I get this job..
Cons: I dont mind working hours because I used to it even weekend its my things

Wonderful
It is the good company, it gives people the opportunity to grow and it has been the nice company you work for. The company gives its employees to help go to school and study further and give them the chances to be management, it has scholarships. It has has done lot of things for the employees. I'm greatful to work for Pick n Pay. But i need to start fresh and earn more money so i can reach my dreams.

Excellent learning curve
I liked working at pick n pay without it I would have never gained experience and at pick n pay we were and still are family we care for each other if someone passed on we go to the family and support them.the most challenging thing is when the store doesn't bring the batch number that I need to send to LIV CLERK Supervisors

You get to learn communication everyday.
Currently I work at Pick n Pay King Williams Town as a Debtor’s Clerk in a management position where I am accountable of leading a team of six (6) and carrying out a wide range of commercial processes. During the course of my career, I have gained a specialist’s understanding of financial instruments and accounting soft ware and also been effective in explaining complex information in a comprehensible manner.

Good entry level job
At the beginning it was fine but as I matured in the industry I slowly lost interest because I learnt to realise that tertiary education is not valued especially at store level. Senior managers takes things personally, if you challenge them, if you voice out your concerns or if you report them for their mistreatment your career will reach the death end. The system is corrupt in that if you don't do as they say and stop questioning them you will be stack in one place with no reason. Immediate managers will actually blackmail you. They capitalise on your mistake and are good at badmouthing. Being sick or having personal problems that hinders you from coming to work on a specific day is like commiting a crime.

Good
Its been a good experience to work for that gives employees to grow within the compan. Giving someone to get a chance of appreciate.working with different people makes an individual to be more inspiring by giving them good words on their daily working basics. Doesn't matter the race of the person but this company believe that everyone deserves a chance to prove themselves

Very interesting position
Work at Pick n Pay Family Store Meadowlands, work six hours a day six days a week, and earn R 2800 P/m. No promotions, no salary increase a year and no bonus at all. No overtime pay, no Sundays pay and no holidays pay. I deal with difficult customers and sometimes very understanding customers. Team work is what l love the most about my job. I have learned to be very paciant and very understanding when dealing with people.

Good place for growth
Ive grown so much in the company in a short space of time. But the working hours are long so adjusting your personal life and professional life is tricky

Great learning
Pick n pay is not concerned about the welfare of its employees as there is constant moving around of roles without communicating effective to the affected. Also the retrenchment rate and staff turnover is ridiculously high living most people unemployed.
