Clients centric approach

I meet 10+ people a week. I answer calls and give clients advise during face to face meetings. I learnt how to translate product benefits to clients real situation application. I like the look of my clients when I tell them how I can save money for them or draft wills for them and their families. I have done financial needs analysis and no matter how many time i do it, people are unique. I like giving presentations in front of group of people and love the interaction and engagements.

Cons: Teaching or explaining clients new things with less time.

Excellent learning curve

My objectives are to achieve the best results in every tasks assigned to me, because that is a proof that I prioritise every duty directed to me. I would like to see myself growing within the company and being able to learn every single product and system within the organization and to achieve the highest standards in all my tasks. I would like to be one of the best performer's and to assist in every area in the organization and I'm in a process of furthering my studies to keep myself relevant and marketable.

Experienced in recruitment for SANLAM advisors. Completed long term insurance NQF level 4

Started learnership on the 01August 2018 to 31 August 2019, archived 120 credits at NQF level 4 ( long term insurance). Provided 5 months contract as an Administor from 01/08/2019 to 31 December 2019

Pros: It was great opportunity to get a chance to get administration experience and qualification in a company that have more than 101 years in service
Cons: 12 hours a day

None

No conducive environment for growth. New people struggle along as they normally do not get any assistance or mentor. Assistance must also be given to people struggling with sales: who eventually get paid R0.00 commission at the end of the month. Instead of helping, the company pretends all is normal and expert people to report for meetings twice a week and also go out and do direct sales.

Pros: No opportunity for promotion

I adopt easly and always love to work within a team.

Working at Sanlam I have learnt a lot from my fellow colleagues, things such as working as a team can actually grow you into something great especially when it comes to the substance that I enjoy most such as organizing and listening to others and value their opinions, but the most challenging aspect of the job is when you have to close the sale of a difficult client where you run out of facts. but that doesn't make me fall instead it construct me and build me to work twice hard for the second time client than I did with the first.

Excellent learning curve in finance

My duties is to contact potential clients for appointments, to describe our products and do financial analysis to see if the potential clients spend to much money on specific benefits. I enjoy taking to people,listening to other people and meet new people. I also have to ensure that all the paper work are done on time and that all the requirement are met. The most challenging aspect of my job is to ensure that I get the clients to come for their first apointment.

Pros: I get to be paid for every appointment I make with a client.
Cons: Its hard to get appointments with some clients therefore the advisor gets a bad month.
