Excellent learning curve
Excellent learning curve and I have learned to be patient and to meet customers needs, time management, learn to sell and to convince customers to buy what you are selling. Other skills acquired is to manage cash and to capture data. And also acquire good communication and people skills from working with a team to working with customers.
Pros: Acquiring communication skills and working with ppl will allow you to improve on those skills as well which means better and more money
Cons: Working overtime every day as in oder to make more money you need to push sales

Excellent learning curve
Good way to get started when working. Ideal for school leavers. Commission structure encourages consultants to push limits. A typical day sees 2 to 3 consultants in store with the manager. The ambience in the store is often relaxed and welcoming. Consultants are well trained so flow of business is more often than not very smooth. Great camaraderie between employees. Energising atmosphere to work in. Learn many invaluable lessons, especially in the areas of communication, cooperation and human development. Enjoyed meeting foreign nationals, learning about cultures and languages. Most challenging were the late shifts

Fine
Fine in that it is a dynamic company with contstant change, fast paced and striving constantly to stay ahead of the game. Exciting, technological advancement, exposure to wide range of business activities. Development and training opportunties.

Making a difference
In my two stints at Vodacom I have been privileged enough to have worked on two of their strategic initiatives. RT15 National Treasury Transversal Vodacom won the right to bring all governments mobile business into their domain. This involved an ongoing information campaign along with migration of the subscribers and empowering the departments to manage their spend. Together with our partners we successfully managed cost savings of between 40 and 70% eSim Network readiness To be the first provider to offer eSim capability has been one of the proudest achievements to date. So pull together so many partners, internally and externally for what will inevitably be a game changer in the industry. The most important factor in achieving success has always been the people. Such amazing and knowledgeable collegues make doing the impossible so much of fun Looking forward to one day rejoining the team

Not excellent
Am no longer enjoying for this company because its contracts and the salary never increases.They treated employees like they are desperate. Anyway i enjoyed working for this company mostly because i have learned to be independent and take responsibility on customers

the company is great , had a lot to learn but they don't want to hire permanently . 85% of the employees are contractor at Vodacom. and with the salaries been paid . allows you to serve your family and be able to pay for your car and rent but its way too difficult for an individual who's has a family and wants to buy a house or anything with instalments … the thing is if you are a contractor you can easily get fired at Vodacom and you are always stressed that your contract might not be renewed , and the sad part is , you can work for more than 6years as a contractor at Vodacom.

Fast learner and team player

Respecting data and turning it into company’s benefit
Analytical mind set, attention to detail. Responsible, honest, take ownrship of the task. Can work individually, in a team or across multiple teams. Worked in the open office space, as well as in a room for four and from home. Respect data, like listenning to the data to hear what it says to use it for the company benefit. Fast learner and keen to grow professionally.
