Not a company for everbody to work in
My typical work day is doing store visit to update staff about layouts,promotions,new structure and display layouts.I have a good understanding with my colleagues and we work well together.I have learned that not everything is black and white and that understanding people is very important to have a good work flow,and a good understanding of the systems you need to work with.I enjoy working with the people in the stores,training and upskilling them.The most challenging is getting to all the stores in a short space of time.Making sure everybody understand their role they plan in the company and to get everybody to work towards one goal
Pros: You have freedom to work as you see fit and to implement your new ideas
Cons: The owner is not always understanding and like to het rid of people he does not like

Good environment
Edcon is a great company to work and vibrant environment.Challenges that one is facing is sort staff in some departments,but all employees are team worker they familiarise themself with da store.

I have learned this didn't know
the relation ship with co workers is very good but if you see that you have no future in the company because they are retraining their staff there is nothing i cant handle i have learned a lot from venue bookings and briefing agency from the start until the end i enjoy when i have sum thing to do no challenge

Experience gained
I've gained so much experience in the retail company even though I'm very flexible and I've learned so much in working with different kind of people and different age groups most importantly on how to treat a customer,stock etc

Excellent learning curve
I can work with a group of people as i used to work with customers.I can also work with long hours and with lunch in between 7 to 8 hours.I have an excellent relationship with co workers as im good with resolving issues with co workers.And i have an excellent communication skill.

It is a good company to work for
Edcon is a good company to work for. If they can only notice us on the North West side. Cause we are working hard and the is more talent these said. And my salary is not enough for the work that I do .as a. Visual

Management opportunity
A typical day is driving sales, by motivating my stuff to go out and do their best to achieve our daily target, something that we do as a whole. The most important thing to me is; to keep our customers happy by striving for excellent service, this include solving the queries they might have; as speedily as possible. Achiving our monthly targets brings most satisfaction, to know that we worked hard as a team. In retail I have learnt that relying on our strengths is highly important, because we contribute as a whole to our success. The most challenging aspect of my job is pushing for sales during the times of the month where there is a low customer feed to our store.
Pros: In cellular industry there is always something new to learn.
Cons: Indeed, long long hours, and under stuffed.

Fast leaner, good listener
working for edcon teaches one a lot of things, we work a lot with customers because they want their customers to come back they teach us how to offer the best if not excellent customer service. i have learnt how to work with different kinds of people, i enjoy working with people in fact i love working with people you learn a lot of things that you didn't even know. challenging part about my job is that i need a strategy in order to open accounts, how i should entice customers, the energy, the smile, sense of humor and make them believe in what i am selling.
Pros: open as much accounts as you can
Cons: normal hours but wait on your feet all day
