I worked for 3shops in edcon so for it a opportunit for me to be a great store man or a businessman becouse as i was a cusaul i was givan a chance to run a store and i was act as visual manger for edgars at jabulani mall in soweto than i was apointed as PPT still visual manager for boardmans in bedfordview i wad the one setting up the promotions running the store but for me i felt like it was my time to run the store like a manger i was dicised making plans to rich the daily tergets monthly etc now im a beauty consalted in red square dealing with make up skin care products perfurms chasing after my dreams ,
Pros: working harder for more money

Fast leaner
I, AKANI EVANTS MASHELE, currently completed my Diploma in INFORMATION AND TECHNOLOGY (SOFTWARE DEVEOPMENT). Hard worker, dedicated i am reliable, confident,self motivated and presentable.
I am a fast hard worker who always achieves the best results my relationship with my colleagues were good and up to standard were i was working i learned a lot first thing i learned to work under pressure and how to communicate with clients thats a communication skill i enjoyed the work that i was doing

Excellent learning curve
It is good to work as a manager aspecially if you have a positive relationship with your team, all understanding the goal an the strategy, it is good company to work for but unfortunately it's closing down some of its stores

Great opportunity to a learn a lot and grow as an individual
-All staff have a good relationship the respect me a lot even though I an younger than them and they teaching me a lot but they respect me and my position. -Good communication skills, how to deal with typical customers, how to lead a team, how to schedule my staff and how to work under pressure. -I enjoy working with people, meeting new people everyday and solving problems. -Dealing with typical customers

Fast learner

Not a company for everbody to work in
My typical work day is doing store visit to update staff about layouts,promotions,new structure and display layouts.I have a good understanding with my colleagues and we work well together.I have learned that not everything is black and white and that understanding people is very important to have a good work flow,and a good understanding of the systems you need to work with.I enjoy working with the people in the stores,training and upskilling them.The most challenging is getting to all the stores in a short space of time.Making sure everybody understand their role they plan in the company and to get everybody to work towards one goal
Pros: You have freedom to work as you see fit and to implement your new ideas
Cons: The owner is not always understanding and like to het rid of people he does not like

Growth and development opportunities
As a manager/executor at the store level, I do morning huddles where I communicate the financials of the store with the staff, I check that everyone is ready to serve the first customer by looking at the appearance, wearing correct uniform with name badge visible to customers. I ensure the cash float is issued correctly to cashiers and the store is ready to accept the first customer in terms of OHSA act. I check the hazard counts in high risk departments like cellular and branded items. I randomly test the product knowledge to ensure that they know what are they offering to customers including daily promotions.

Good
We had transport that deliver us to where we are staying stright on the gate. They gave use uniform. They could call you and ask if you will be able to work on weekends or not in order for them to schedule you.They were not giving us lunch but we were enjoying our work

Cons: Long working hours with poor salary
