My experience at edcon
I am working in a very diversified working environment where learning never ends. There is exposure to different departments for personal growth if you are willing to learn. We are like one big family and we learn from each other. I had to learn to learn all operational areas due to my role of Quality Auditing. I enjoyed calibration sessions as there is a high level of engagement.

Cons: Pressurized environment in terms of meeting deadlines.

Daily PA’s Functions
• Identify system errors and escalate to Relevant management for correction • Provide regular feedback to Division regarding queries within the agreed time frames • Escalate stores systems problems to Incidents Management for follow-up. • Maintain databases by sorting through paperwork received • Updating the Division Operation Manager Traveling Calendar. • Assist With Adhoc Queries. • Communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with internal and external stakeholders, to ensure business requirements are met. • Daily PA’s Functions. • Capturing Overtime

Good learning environment
Since I came to this company I have learned a lot about customer service and dealing with stakeholders. I have a good relationship with my co-workers and enjoy working difficult customers

Excellent learning curve
We worked hard to get paid less. Growth was minimum. Alot of favouritism to whom should get anything. Edcon has great training facility which you can learn from and upgrade yourself even if it's not within the company but just getting the skills

Excellent
I love my job. Customer service is the best thing I'm good at and making sales it's my best ever. .I hv been with the company for 4 years now. Previous company worked for 5years at a permanent position as BEAUTY ADVISOR. Previous same company for 4 years as a casual(TFG COMPANY)

Great growth Experience in this company
Monitor the businesses performance -Assisting with regular range building and presentations -Proficient knowledge on operating systems -Pulling out samples for good and bad performances for Monday trading Meetings -Management of PP samples and Bulk Production samples -Management/ Loading of promos and regular updates with store ops -Generating of purchasing orders -Regular store visits and comp shop expeditions -Identifying stock turns from reports in order to take necessary action to assist with the sales. -Retrieving data for post seasonal and reviews
Pros: - Currently handling 3 Brands in the Department worth R 300mil� collectively.
Cons: underpaid but handling 3 portfolios on my own, i have been acting as a buyer for 7 months with no pay

Excellent learning curve
It is good to work as a manager aspecially if you have a positive relationship with your team, all understanding the goal an the strategy, it is good company to work for but unfortunately it's closing down some of its stores

A right place for learning,growth and experience
Such an excellent learning environment you experience working at Edcon.The give you more and more tasks resulting in overall excellency.To date I am proud to claim the knowledge across the Departments.Endless learning is what I experienced with Edcon.I do also possess a "night retail" experience by the way.This in brief suggests that if I join a company other than this current one I will just excel.They day with co_workers always seems very short due to the way we relate with each other,on job,by the way.The most I have experienced and learned is that experienced and excellence derives from love and passion and patience.The most challenging aspects of the job is ironically customers.They bring cash and success,at the some stages they too demanding,for instance:No exchange is allowed on all underwears but they insist on exchange

Excellent training
I have learnt alot but as for salary wise im not happy I love working with my colleagues as we support each other. I love learning everyday and seeing different people, experimenting with new customers. If you give your customers good gratitude u will never go wrongly. Acknowledging all customers in a good way helps the company to gain lot of loyalty in customers
