Excellent learning experience
I started working at Edcon as a Merchandise Trainee and i must say it was the best from day one as i learned about the entire retail process. I've also learned the true meaning of teamwork, excellent customer service and patience. working with collegues who are hard workers and always there for you at all times makes my work more enjoyable because we become like a family and we depend on each other. The hardest part of my work is having to handle or meeting deadlines in a short duration , as i work in a retail company most clients complain about stock and product variety and also not wanting to wait in ques for more than 10 minutes, but I have learned to listern to them an treat them with respect at all times . I also haven't had a typical day at Edcon. I have Learned skills such as Communication Skills, Listening Skills, Analytical skills and many more.

Excellent training provided
The first thing I do when I get to the office, I test all the call centre lines to ensure that our IVR Is functional. Run the previous day report and send it through to the respective departments and Management. I have a strong relationship with most of the co-workers, some I don�t like me as I always give them instructions and notify them of changes. I've learnt that we all have different characters; I have to treat everyone with respect. I enjoy team buildings that's we get together and dance celebrate our achievements as a team. The most challenging aspect is that whenever we drop our service level they always point at WFM team however retrieving the report always give a bigger picture.

Excellent learning curve, great place to grow your skills and knowledge of the industry.
Typical work day would be analysis of sales. Evaluation of current vs on order product. Management of supplier relationships through day to day order monitoring. Putting together reports of current trade compared to future buy. Great working environment in terms of coworkers. Always ready to assist. I have learnt that a department is interlinked we need to work together towards a common goal. But a little competitive streak doesn't hurt.

Excellent learning curve
Im a peoples person and get along well with my peers. Retail is detail and its all about getting the job right the 1st time. Timing is everything. Getti g the right product at the right time to the right customer. I have 10 years marketing experience and 4 years visual manager experience. Customer service is of high priority at my company and being a leader you have to act as one amd always be of leadership material.

Excellent 15 years retail experience
Currently I am not employed, Edcon is the last company I worked for which I left 2011 working for myself. Now I am eager to continue my field in retail. The salary I put was the salary I was getting in 2011 as store manager. Currently I am studying LLB with Unisa. I still am very passionate about retail and I would bring a lot of skill to the company. I worked very well with my team, line managers and regional team. I am very influential in system discipline, visual merchandise and stores layout plans. I am a good teacher of the succession plans and always eager to learn new things Thank you
