Young professional
Good day, My name is Maame Tabiri, I am an electrical engineer currently working at Eskom Distribution as a network development planner. The job description aligns directly to what I am currently doing at Eskom so I am already well acquainted with the industry and technical understanding of HV/MV Distribution Engineering. I graduated in 2014 from UCT and completed Eskom’s engineer in training grad programme in 2016. While I am not a graduate there is still a lot to learn. I am already a young professional in the industry but would still like to be considered for a position at this company as I feel it is time for me to move on from Polokwane. Kind regards, Maame

Technician in training
I qualified with National Diploma in Power Engineering and Process Instrumentation and finished my in-service training at Eskom. During my well rounded training I have developed my skills in the Engineering field, learning how to use hand basic tools, analyse and troubleshoot electrical circuits, test current transformers and pole mount breakers, to name a few. On – the - job training included (but was not limited to) working with technicians in the Eskom Transformer Protection and DC departments, covering Distribution Operating, Electrical measuring instruments, Basic Electrical Theory, Installation procedure and commissioning of prepaid meters, Fault finding, operating on low voltage, Medium voltage line construction, Operating regulations for high voltage systems, First line DC maintenance and Energized LV.

Eskom
As Im going to work as a consultant I enjoy to work as a team.I also like to work with people daily because I like to help people with what where they need help in the compony .To control the stock is my duty everyday to see that the stock is balanced .I also like to count of which is my job everyday. I think I would also receive the invoices and keep them safe tour the company.I am fast and always like to finish my work in time,I don't like to waste the time of the company. I like to ask where I don't understand in oder to prevent mistakes. I would make sure that I'm doing my job as they told me to do.I am going to work faithfully for the company thank you

Wonderful atmosphere
The colleagues have made working enjoyable as they assist when I am in need. The sharing of technical expertise has really supported my growth in the engineering profession. The company's drive for safety awareness and being your brothers keeper had opened me to a world of putting safety first in all that I do and applying different useful techniques to having that culture natured by those around me. The analysis of data and investigations that follow are an integral part ofmy duties and that has sharpened my skill on that regard.

Gaing Experience
I have gained experience while working at this company and I have received great exposure. In this company I have rotated and I have gained exposure in different departments. I have been exposed to field work. I have also worked at network operations, network planning and network engineering design. These departments have given me exposure to the engineering aspect of the company.

Great working exposure and experience
My experience working as a designer is interesting as i encounter different challenges from project to project. My work environment requires one to think out the box due to merging correct technical abilities with minimal costing and priority. My work division has shaped me into an individual who can work in any work force, be it in a group or alone. I have developed great working ethos by working for a my division. I have space to grow and hence willing to explore elsewhere.
