Good lerning curve
working for eskom has been great , and ive been lucky to work with kind and helpfull people but some time one does not grow when one gets too comfortable i need to be challenged and learn new ways of doing things have new ideas

Excellent learning curve
Typical work day include assiting site in maintenance activities, reviewing and creating designs, solving aging plant issues and making sure rules and regulations are followed whether they are Eskom's or international. Relationship with co-workers differ. Some you get along with great, others not so much. Challenging aspects of the job is being capable of doing things but never getting the chance to do it. Having to check or do other peoples job because they sre not competant or they are not trusted. Very few oppertunities to expand your knowledge. Uncertainty of work.

Working at a big company like eskom gave me a good experiance
Im ERNEST MATOME RAPETSOA ELECTRUACIAN BY QUALIFICATION AS I HAVE COMPLETED MY TRADE TEST AND CURENTLY WAITING FOR MY NATIONAL N DIPLOMA TO BE RELEASED. IM A HARD WORKING DEDICATED MAN WITH PASSION TO WORK UNDER PRESURE AND CO OPERATE TO MY TASK WHEN I DO SOME TASK.
Pros: im good and enjoy working as a team even when im alone i enjoy to work under preasure
Cons: i can work from 12 hours a day and including over time and night shift wher it will be nided

The ability to be independent
A typical day at eskom is firstly tool box talk. You go to sample came back and do the analysis. The colleagues are friendly and the work environment is good. I learnt how to be independent as sometime you need to take decisions that affect the plant. The best part is that Fridays we knock of at 12h00

In-service training as an electrical technician.
I like working for this company because everyday I learn something and about how committed they are to keep customers happy at all times with electric supply which makes me feel responsible for the customers as they should always gets quality of supply ,no complaints . If the customers are happy with the service that is good for the business there should be good relationship whereas if there is fault on the system it is in the company's best interest to fix that problem immediately.Proper PPE is given to workers for safety purposes .I am learning a lot about how the work is done ,testing , maintenance, protection(avoid demages) of electrial equipment.
Pros: working for the will help me pursue my career.

Positive self talk always provide a healthy decision making
my everyday job is to make sure that all our customers are happy meaning there is no shortage of electricity or power supply that is my everyday mandate, and to achieve that i always make sure that i maintain a healthy relationship with my fellow co workers and what i have learn t the most is that we are from different home back round at work and the only thing that makes us to win as as team is to apply a system thinking and respecting each others opinions, the most challenging part is that we spend most of our time meeting different people and their way of conduct it varies almost everyday some they are nice to you but some they give opposite attitude, so yes that one of those fundamental things that is challenging in our work but we always use emotional intelligence to win in every situation

Great graduate program
At Eskom I have been exposed to both construction supervision of various structures within the power plant as well as design of structures. This extends to structural inspection of concrete components of structures like bridges and chimneys. I have enjoyed both aspects of consulting and construction. Both offer various opportunities and comes with its fair share of challenges. Eskom is a great place for growth provided you are willing to learn and apply yourself accordingly, at the end of the day being part of such a huge company it is very easy to become a number and get lost in the system.

For the last twelve years I have been using my expertise in electrical production for Eskom.
r the last twelve years I have been using my expertise in electrical production for Eskom. My skills have been applied to advanced equipment and resources setting and repairing electrical lines in a range of locations. Previous experiences include taking customer calls and solving their electrical problems in a cost effective and efficient manner. While many of my projects require a level of independence and responsibility there has been a lot of work with teams. As my resume will attest outside of a firm understanding of the evolving technology behind the installation and repair of complex electrical systems I have excellent communication and interpersonal skills the prerequisite certification needed to operate in this organization.

Good environment to enhance one's career
Tubaste ferrochrome is a good company, that does quality analysis on Chrome that they produce. The work environment and atmosphere is excellent and for budding employees it is a good learning curve. They offer health and wellness services, safety measures and ensure that employees are happy at work

Achievements - pros and cons
I enjoy working based on target or goals. I am driven by passion and enjoy to see how the day finished on my output. I enjoyed working with people who are driven by passion, have patience and ready for any challenge. I enjoy to see project complete, dusted and implemented as my goal. My learning experience, we need to be sensitive working with people. Every human being have his/her personnel challenges and we must not igonre that. As manager, its good to understand your staff, ask how they feel when they are at work, how is everything around themself. Most challenge aspect, when i lack support from other business partner. The project get stuck and you need to have team engagement to drive the project
