Great, helpful culture in a fast, high pressure environment

Marketing is mostly treated as a key partner in business. This means that we are usually involved from the start of any project. While recognition is given to performers, it is usually in the form of an incentive based "prize" rather than in the annual salary/remuneration. There are a lot of processes and procedures in place to follow when executing on a campaign which can at times make it difficult to deliver on the fast-paced executions that are required. Generally, co-workers are helpful and friendly. But only if they know you - it takes time to build up the required relationships in order to get the help/support you require, even if it is that persons job.

Pros: Allows for involvement outside of set roles and responsibilities; Flexible working hours and locations
Cons: High pressured environment with a lot of red tape

Ability to Learn

Excellent learning curve

It was an exciting learning place with warm and welcoming people who empower each others. I have learned a lot and not only about programming, also how to hold yourself in a workplace space. I learned a lot about mavens, spring, servers, back end and front end programming. The thrill of learning something new everyday got me excited too

Fast paced

There is always something new to learn. I have learned to work independently, I take on my manager's duty when she is not in the office. the environment is fast paced, it has a high volume of recruitment but enhances an individuals personal growth and skills.

Cons: Too much workload, it is a high pressure environment

Through working in customer service I’ve learnt greatly how to work with people.

I work with different kinds of people everyday, including my co- workers. Working with people can be challenging but it’s the most important thing to learn . I’m grateful for this experience and will take it everywhere I go.
