I have +29 years of banking experience.
I have banking experience as branch manager, operations and sales. I am currently employed at Nedbank Business Banking as a Business Manager since 2007. I have been employed at ABSA bank for 16 years. I have sales and management experience I am confident and enjoy challenges. I ensure that no matter what the economic situation is, my clients needs are met and I ensure long term relationship. I have a strong network in the market and enjoy achieving and exceeding targets. I enjoy mentoring and developing staff ensuring that we not only have a competent team but a recognised performing team.

A day in the life at Nedbank Group Marketing
- A typical day in Nedbank's Group Marketing Digital team (the team that my function sits within) includes a series of the morning to early afternoon meetings (08:30 - 14:00). - All of my co-workers including myself are new, we are still learning about our roles and responsibilities and how they relate to us as individuals. I have brilliant co-workers though and we all come from different disciplines and industries that can lend itself to the overall brand of the bank. - What I've learned so far in my short while at Nedbank is the absolute importance of communication, resilience, and patience. - I enjoy working within the "green" bank - a bank that advocates sustainability and community building in South Africa. - One major challenge that's been difficult to manage is the lack of support from senior management, severe lack of structure, dysfunctional reigns, severe lack of workplace culture and poor unconstructive communication.

Financial planning is exciting and also extremely stressful. There is always pressure to perform.
My job is fun, as the team is very vibrant. I look forward to going to work for that reason. The work on it's own is very stressful yet exciting at the same time. It requires good time management skills and also you need to be extremely effective in your communication.
Pros: Great opportunity to make lots of money
Cons: Long working hours and continuously need to be able to know your clients portfolios and needs which are different from client to client.

Learning organisation
I would like to work for a company that is considerate of home/work life balance and values people and encourages people to learn through creativity. My company is doing well in that regard and it is quite very difficult to leave the organisation of this calibre in fear of the different culture. However, as a person you need to grow and explore new challenges in order to grow.

I have a gain a good understanding of business risk and other related risks over my working years. I currently serve as a Risk Manager, Enterprise-Wide-Risk and responsible for the identification, assessment and management of business units risk .I conduct risk monitoring reviews, to identify risk exposures and enhance any policy gabs. I play a significant role in the development of risk monitoring programmes and the implementation of enterprise wide risk frame work across business units. I monitor, assess and report on Enterprise-Wide-Risk.

Leading and controlling was my main duty.We have a hard working team that we motivate daily.
Learning and growth is amazing but driving digital cost me my job.The leaders can be demotivating and abit too authoritive.It is self motivation and and strong will that got me to the leadership role that i worked toward.

Excellent learning curve
Current job daily is taking calls,emails directly from clients and serving them coming up with solutions and product specialist, transferring client to relevant departments under switchboard. Assist private bankers and professional banking clientele. Use different systems to access client details, time capturing, adhering to schedule and monthly proficiency tests. What I like about it is the team spirit everyone has to help each other with complex queries. I have learnt to work under enormous stress and pressure. Working under pressure is the most challenging thing for me.

Excellent character&integrity.Strength lies in working by myself under pressure, self-motivated.
Typical work week is to plan a week in advance and execute sales. Thus works great for me. I enjoy giving clients the best customer service and advice. Relationship building with your clients as well as your colleagues. Having meaningful meeting and executing the plans discussed. I enjoy reaping the benefits of hard work with a win win situation for your team and business at hand.
