Good working environment

I'm working at a retail store whereby I do stock ordering,hygiene standard and making sure that we are always fresh products at all times,doing my schedules.i also work flexible and long hours over 8hours per day.

Excellent learning curve

I was the only receiving manager,. You have to start the day5 by sending an end of day report before going anything on the system. Receive deliveries, capturing invoices, responsible for good returns for suppliers

Will never wish to work there no more

As I was working at Pick n Pay warehouse, it's a place that I wish I haven't worked there no more, I've been working at Pick n Pay warehouse for 4years, without benefits and rights. Pick n Pay management has no respect for their general workers,.

Excellent first Job experience

Since working for Pick n Pay I've grown and seen what my strength's and weakness are , it's nice to have your co- workers become an additional family member to you and being able to find what I'm good. Being able to earn trust among my co-workers.

I have learnt how to treat customers in a right way(customer service)

I'm a very hard working person, patient, trustworthy, well groomed, respectful, easy to work with and self motivated, I know how to handle the customers with respect as I have learnt customer service.

Pros: Im willing to start over a new interesting carreer like this, working in an industry where I can face and help clients with love and patience by myself
Cons: I have a strength when it comes to work, I can strive to work long hours in order to reach a target if that has started as long as that will be a benefit to the company, because a benefit to the company is a benefit to me also (e.g if you don't give strength and work properly in a company become insolvient of which the job for you will also come to an end)

Great learning curve

To work at this company it is an eye opener I have learned many things and acquired skills. What I have learned: time management, team work, communication and responsibility. Skills: sales and to use machinery. Typical day I have to check expired stock, merchandise perishable stock and do reduce to clear. I work very well with my coworkers and I enjoy doing my work the most. Challenging aspects are that we receive too much stock most of the time and I work alone so it get tough at times, but I manage.

Pros: Great opportunity to help me find another job through educaticating myself

Personal growth and experience

-Working at this company is great mostly when it comes to it being the biggest contact centre in Durban. there is growth as there is a stepup programme, this programme deals with employees who have more than six month experience in the company this enables you to apply for any senior position available, however there are tests,training and interviews that one goes through in order to be the right candidate for the job. -A typical work day is everyday doing the same thing over and over again is exhausting, as i love to challenge myself do different things and see where my strength lies -What i've learnt is to communicate effeciently with our clients and customers from overseas, i can also say my computer skills have developed -My relationship with co-workers is great as i get along with everyone, we learn and teach each other new things everyday. Work related or personal, but we in it to grow and develop into better case managers and individuals.

Pros: there is a step up programme which one can apply for when u have been with the company for 6 months upwards, great attendance and have encountered no warnings in the time you have been in the company.
Cons: the hours are too much when you earn that much, 10 hours for 4000 is not reasonable at all
