Working at pick n pay taught me a lot. I am their product and equipped with lot's of experience.
I have been working at pick n pay since my first position I grew to where I was in the same environment . I have acquired lots of experience and knowledge on how things run in the workplace. Customer service is one of the most important things I learned and is very crucial. It is not always easy to manage people some are difficult but it was also one of my leaning scripts. When we worked so hard and reached the turnover it was the most important and happiest day of my life. The store manager I was working with always gave me an opportunity to initiate new plans sent by head office. They most difficult thing I had to do was to discipline and let go of the most loyal and hard working employee because of a mistake he committed.
Pros: I started as data capturer to assistant manager
Cons: Working from 6am to 7pm

Excellent learning curve
I liked working at pick n pay without it I would have never gained experience and at pick n pay we were and still are family we care for each other if someone passed on we go to the family and support them.the most challenging thing is when the store doesn't bring the batch number that I need to send to LIV CLERK Supervisors

o-workers. I enjoy the attitude the people gives its just so warm and welcoming... i love this place. I think its time for me to look for somethinh else now. I am unhappy sometimes at work but i keep smiling. I need to find another job because we all have dreams and goals we want to reach in life...The best thing about this Job is the working hours. They keep me busy most of the day. I cant complain much about the hours. The challenging part of this job is the workload. Its way too much and sometimes too hard to keep your head.. the pressure is too much...

I've learn that you have to respect others
I loved to work with people because I know how to communicate with people and handle customers. I also learn to share with others. Working with people gives you a knowledge to be able to handle different stress because you overcome lot of stress due to Customer and colleague.

Excellent learning curve
It a very good opportunity to learn more about customers and how to to handle difficult customers. My co- workers are the most helpful people. I have leaned to be more professional and to treat customers equally with more respect.I enjoy serving customers face to face and telephonically. When customers asking you to help in other departments than the one I'm working at.
Pros: Great opportunity of promotions when you learn and study their blue file.

Good in leaning
I have a good costumer service and have been in the nominees for best employee of the month Working at pick n pay brought a great experience on how to be a leader and a costumer care in all the times and Costumer is the heart of the business cause without then we are not going anywhere

Ecellent learning curve
I do customer service face to face and telephonically and the colleagues are more helpful and I have learned to deal with difficult customers and I enjoy delivering service and able to work under pressure. As a competitive person I like challenges as I believe that it prepares one for anything in life. I strive to complete tasks as and when fail due.

It's a good way to meet new people and to learn to Work with a wide range of people.It teaches customer service and to work in a team .Time management and attention to detail.
