Working at pick n pay its like working with customers,to make customer find what their are looking for,as like packing it neat and nice at the storeroom so that if its not available at the shop..to be easier to get it at the storeroom were i work..its what i enjoy the most,and i learned a lot about the job and also knowing the stork,for example which stork is selling..

Empowering
A fast paced and continuously demanding environment, planning and improvising skills, asserting, goal orientated, results driven, safety conscious and customer orientated are mostly part of my current obligations and objectives. You must be able to build a team, teach and learn different cultures and habits, be able to accommodate you team member and take them along the journey to maintain the prosperity of the business. Good judgement abilities, discipline and commitment is strongly recommended. You must be able to give meaningful and and take adverse instructions. I enjoyed and will always endure every stimulating experience in the long journey that is bow on 18years of dedication

Wonderful working experience
I learned to best communicate with customers and to attend to their needs and complains...and how to make quick transactions could be cash or card or even vouchers. I also learned to do beyond my job description and to go out of my way or even work extra hours if need be.

o-workers. I enjoy the attitude the people gives its just so warm and welcoming... i love this place. I think its time for me to look for somethinh else now. I am unhappy sometimes at work but i keep smiling. I need to find another job because we all have dreams and goals we want to reach in life...The best thing about this Job is the working hours. They keep me busy most of the day. I cant complain much about the hours. The challenging part of this job is the workload. Its way too much and sometimes too hard to keep your head.. the pressure is too much...

Leadership skills
I love working with people..team work..I can also work under pressure and with no supervision...I have self confidence..I also know how to deal with difficult customers..puncuallity is always on me..always run an extra mile at work..I would like to grow and learn more about different kinds of working environment

Learning curve
Long day at workk Having to deal with arrogant customers Trying to reach daily target A typical work day We have a strong bond amoungst ourselves Age doesn't matter in this type of organization but the amount of work you put in is very essential Learning how to deal with different personalities on a daily basis Some if not all of the customers do not put themselves in your shoes and are difficult to work with

Good experience
Good experience of how to deal with different people, you get difficult customers as well as handling of large amounts of cash. Co-workers are nice people, great team work except certain managers who treat you like dirt and you don't get appreciated most of the time. Other Stores are better than others when it comes to management of staff.There is a lot of pressure from management when the Store is very busy and there are long queues it very challenging as you have to raise your scan rate to minimize queues.You start work early and reach home very late from 21:00 in the evening. They cut hours and we become short staffed.

Pick n pay is and has been my stepping stone, learning a vast amount - what to do and what not to do
In my working environment everyday there’s a new opportunity new challenge and you never know what to expect. Unfortunately it’s very unstructured. I have the best working relationships and have met and worked with some remarkable people ! I have moved around a lot in the business and gained a lot of exposure but I feel I was moved around too quickly ! I have had to learn by swimming in the deep end all the time . This helped with finding my feet very quickly forcing to adjust. I love change and without change there is no growth . I have learned what to do and what not to do. I enjoy working with people and some training parts. Most challenging part is not everyone is for change and I’m always wanting to better and simplyfy work to become more effective and efficient.
